The best chinese take-out/delivery place in the area. I ate here for years when I lived on that side of town. Growing up we would always order Hunan Wok because they were the best in the area after Silver Dragon closed down, but then discovered this place in high school and never looked back. The prices are normal for this type of place and the food is GREAT. The sesame chicken or pork w/ broccoli are my favorites, but the chow mei fun, house fried rice, seafood delight, moo goo gai pain, spare ribs, chicken/beef on a stick, and dozens of other menu items are all delicious. I would often try something new or different and would seldom be disappointed. The chicken wings are also good and a very popular item due to their price. I don't know if it's still that way, but they would cook the entire chicken wing, not just the drum or flat. The owners are very nice and their sons are a riot. Yes, the older one will often help people at the register but he knows what he's doing and it's good practice for him to be running things and interacting with people. I have seen them sit down to have a family meal together late at night towards closing, but this is a family owned restaurant and they're eating at the tables where they should be, not in the back where they prepare food . No matter where I live or move to, this will probably be my favorite chinese...
Read moreI ordered a house special chow me fun for dinner. (A rice noodle dish with meats and veggies in it.. shrimp, pork, carrots, etc. ) I could not eat it. They really skimped on the meats in this dish. I scooped some up, put it in a bowl... and now I just have a whole bunch of plain rice noodles with no toppings on the remaining (which is the majority of it). The flavor was not good and the pork in it tasted old... I had to spit it out... I don't believe I have ever ordered this dish and have been so unsatisfied with it. I don't think I'll ever order food from them again after having such a terrible experience tonight. UPDATE: I just went to try a little bit of my wonton egg drop drop soup since I couldn't eat my noodle dish...that was awful too .. it had no flavor.... And the fried chips they give you with the soup were old and stale.... I finally gave in and had to call the store because I was going with no dinner at this point. They are going to remake the soup and I'm hoping that they will provide fresh chips with it. But if you're hungry and craving some Chinese food... I hope this review will save your...
Read moreMy visit to Wok n Roll was not only filled with culinary delights but also marked by an extraordinary act of bravery. The food was a fantastic fusion of Asian flavors, with the chef's special noodles being a standout dish. But the real highlight was the heroic actions of a young boy at the counter.
While enjoying my meal, I began to choke, and it was this quick-thinking boy who saved me. With impressive calmness and skill, he performed the Heimlich maneuver, swiftly ensuring my safety. This young hero, just a child, displayed remarkable poise and bravery.
The staff's attentive and caring response after the incident made the experience even more memorable. This restaurant is not only about great food but also about the incredible people who make it a safe and welcoming place.
In short, Wok n Roll is exceptional in every way. The food is delicious, and the staff, especially the young boy, are real-life heroes. An unforgettable dining experience that deserves a...
