Today I received what is some of the worst service ever at a KFC, or any FF restaurant. 8003 Merrill Rd, Jacksonville FL, 32277.
I placed an online order earlier today and then I drove to the restaurant (it is less than a mile from my home).
Relevant background: I have an elderly mother whom I care for, and today I was doing some deep cleaning, laundry, etc., so I decided to order some food and just run over for it. I was NOT dressed for social interaction because of me doing what I was doing. I was tired, I was in sweatpants, an old T-shirt, no makeup, etc., so when I got there, I just pulled up to the drive through, (DT) so that I could just tell them I had the order and grab it. I've done this before and it's not been an issue.
When I arrived at the restaurant there were no cars at the DT, I was thus able to pull up to the speaker. I was there about 3-5 seconds (check the cameras), when this extremely rude woman, likely late 30s to mid-40s, wearing a grey top, and a headset appeared from the side door located behind the speaker. There was no ‘hello’, no greeting, no pleasantries, she stepped out and said, “do you need more time?”. I was confused given that I’d been there just a few seconds, (check the cameras), she then proceeded to tell me, in a very rude tone, that I was ‘on her timer’.
At this point I advised her that I had an online order. I was not rude, I was not aggressive, again, check the cameras; before I could finish my sentence, she told me I had to come inside because I was on her timer, and 'it wasn’t ready yet.' I was looking to add some mini lemon cakes to my order, so I was just about to order those anyway, so waiting a couple of extra minutes would not have been an issue. I advised her that I was not really dressed to go inside (refer to my earlier paragraph).
I was about to ask her if I could please just pull off to the side and someone can maybe bring it out? I would have been fine parking, and if she had spoken to me like a civilized human being, going through the DT again in like five minutes, but she cut me off midsentence again, when I said I’m not dressed to go inside…. And said, “that’s not my problem”. This woman was unnecessarily rude to me. I was, again, there for all 3-5 seconds before she came out to complain 'I was on her timer'.
I am a customer, I should be allowed to look at your menu to decide what I want to eat; that is the whole point of the menu, isn’t it? To use her words, me being on her timer while I check the menu to order, ‘is not my problem’.
I was not rude at any point.
I was not anything but polite and appropriate in my conversation, again, again, check the cameras. I drove away and did not pick up my meal. I also locked my CC so that charges would not go through (if they are still due, I will challenge them with my bank, I assure you).
I have often had to deal with rudeness and crudeness at this location, but today certainly is one of the worst!
If this is how you treat your customers, I’m surprised that you’re still...

Big meal box and mash potato bowl .. 2 honey mustards ( yes you have to Pay For your dipping sauce here at this location ) Pull thru drive thru to pick up PREPAID order , was told I had to come in side to be handed my food order ( cuz it was not ready at 6:20 as stated as the pick up time , waited 25 minutes past my pickup to get my Online order, since I HAD to come inside I decided to check all of the food. The free nuggets had no sauce on them. The sauces that I have to order and pay for were also not in the bag. In addition I ordered 4 biscuits and I The sauces that I have to order and pay for we’re also not in the bag. In addition I ordered for biscuits and I get halfway down the road home and realize that there’s only two biscuits in my bag. I mean it’s not rocket science people you have a screen to look at that tells you exactly what you’re supposed to put in the bag, sadly I’m not sure if employees that are being hired can’t read or they just don’t care !!!
Thank god I HAD to come in because most of the employees are incompetent to say the least . And it’s only a CLEAR REFLECTION OF CURRENT ONLY TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR. IT’S NUTS. POOR MANAGEMENT, your team is only going to be as your management pushes them to be ! OUT OF DARK MEAT , can’t fulfill specials , Drive-thru Foodguy is on his cell phone talking on the job!! NO EONDER THEY CANT FOCUS ON QUALITY CONTROL!!
And tell the guy working the drive thru to sell weed OFF THE CLOCK , not thru the drive through .. yeah that happened with the car in front of me when I went back to get my biscuits...

We were in line for about 10-15 minutes and when we got to the ordering box we ordered and the waited until we got to the window. We paid for our food and the Assistant Manager, Lisa, handed it to us. The fries were warm and since we had a 10 mins drive we wanted the fries to be hot. My husband politely asked Lisa if they had hot fries coming up and she said, “those fries just came up”. It wasn’t true and lukewarm at best. She asked for the food back and we gave her the bag and she told us to pull around so they can bring it out. We did and waited for 30 minutes and no one came to bring our food. We tried calling multiple times with no answer and their door was locked and no one came to the door. We got back in line and my husband had to repeat the entire order again because they didn’t recall it. She apologized and said they’d get the order ready. We received the food at the window and asked to speak with a manager about the lack of customer service. She said they couldn’t offer anything and they are busy but the General Manager was there. We requested a discount or refund for the extended wait and lack of attention. After waiting a few minutes, she informed us that the GM was too busy and we should call her at another time. We told her that we were willing to wait, so then she informed us that the GM had left. This is an extremely poor customer experience led by the Assistant Store Manager.
