The Rudest Food I Never Got To Eat !!!!!!!!!!!

So today is Thursday April 21, 2022 and I for the First Time went through the Drive Thru of Woody's Bar-B-Q

My background, is Retired Banker, Military Mom and Personal Chef. Currently an Human Resource Administrator.

I was seeking out a meal for our staff of 50. So I was originally in the drive through at KFC. I said hey I will grab food from here for our Staff.

But soon as I saw the Woody's Bar-B-Q sign, I got Extremely Excited. I said I always wanted to support this Business I heard Wonderful things about their Food.

So I speed out of the KFC, line thinking wow our Staff will get a Super Great Treat to Eat Today !!!!

So after waiting in the Drive Thru I was so excited I pulled the Menu up on my phone so I could purchase approximately $950.00 worth of Food for our Staff.

Then I Heard through the Loud Speaker,

"We Are No Longer Taking Orders Through The Drive Thru "

I said Hello, Hello This is my First Time Here " Did I do something wrong ?

Silence, NO RESPONSE.

I said Hello, Hello

Silence, No RESPONSE

Then the person comes on and says,

"We Are No Longer Taking Orders Through The Drive Thru "

By this time, I google the Restaurant phone number, because the person did not say, hey this is the problem, or Please Come Inside To Order or Anything.

So I called the Restaurant and ask for the Manager as I am sitting in the Drive Thru.

A Young Lady answer's and I say please can I speak with the Manager.

She states I AM THE MANAGER. I said I am sitting in the Drive Thru this is my First Time here at your Restaurant.

Someone said that your no longer taking orders in the Drive Thru and I have been sitting behind the 1 other car that was here.

She said YEAH THAT'S WHY I SAID WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY MORE ORDERS IN THE DRIVE THRU !

I said well would you mind telling me Why, or What happened.

Oh well it's flooded over there so that's why , then SILENCE.

I paused just to give her the opportunity to say, Welcome First Time Customer or Come Inside we Would Love to Take Your Order.

But what I got was SILENCE.

So I said Thank You I will Leave a Review and hung up.

This Young Lady was so Rude and This Interaction could have went a whole other way.

She could have just said come in and Order or Hey we are experiencing some issues, please order inside.

But JUST YELLING "We Are No Longer Taking Orders Through The Drive Thru "

No Explanation, Then as I talked to the Speaker - She Gave No Responses

I advised I was a NEW CUSTOMER, that Obviously DID NOT MATTER.

Well, I went and spent our Companies $950.00 at another Restaurant that was more than Happy To Serve US.

I really hope the Owner's understand how Awful this Experience was and for Absolutely No Reason.

Sadly I will never get to experience all the Years of Hard Work The Owner's put into this Business for the Community.

Sadly I didn't get to spend the $950.00 Supporting this Business and had to spend it with another Food Establishment.

Well in closing, "We Are No Longer Taking Orders Through The Drive Thru" I guess this is the New Slogan for Woody's Bar-B-Q,

This is so sad that Manager's caused this type of situation and have no Loyalty to the Owner's Hard...

Let me start out by saying it's my fault for going inside... I had Bono's in mind when l pulled up and something said ("don't-go-in") but l figured Woody's and Sonny's are similar to Bono's right?? so how bad can it really be??....(yea right) So l go in, wanted to order my usual bono's "pulled pork sandwich" BUT i said let me go with their "ultimate sandwich" which is pulled pork, sliced pork, and coleslaw.... Just like all the others the sandwich is the same just a different name, and i believe bonos has one with a sausage on it, but never the less, same sandwich, l was nervous cause l always stick with the pulled pork, never tried sliced pork but said what the heck, I'll get both this time.... When the food arrived it was no "plated specialty" nothing on the plate made me want to dig in (1st strike) the fries were crinkle cut ( my favorite by the way) and they were hot out the grease but they were little pieces from the bottom of the bag it seemed 🙄 (2nd strike) covered in seasoning salt.... didn't even ask if l wanted that mess covering my fries.... Ok ok so l fork the meat and the pulled pork was atrocious!!! I was afraid of the sliced pork but glad l did go with it because that pork was dry, tart, old and just nasty... I wanted to make the best out of this lunch of mine so I grab the bbq sauce (sweet- nothing but sweet) and put it on my sandwich and dear gosh!! l wanted to sling the whole bottle across the room.... "the sweet" was a horrible, cheap, vinegar, tangy, runny concoction of a mess, l was starting to wonder if this place should have been called "tart N tangy" because everything had the same flavors, except the fries, they weren't tangy, they were salty, l had to check my blood pressure when l got home.... Nevertheless l told the waitress of my concern, she called over the manager (who l won't say her name because l don't want any backlash or negativity going her way) but at first she didn't even offer to exchange my meal, replace it, make it right or anything, she just said a bunch of sorry's and told me she hoped l would enjoy my meal....l said how can l??? My fries are salty, my meat is dry, tangy and taste old, I've scooped off all my coleslaw trying to get all the pulled pork off the sandwich, and the only thing left is the sliced pork which is also cold because I've had to explain my issue twice over a 15 min span... She reluctantly remade the sliced pork sandwiche but surely l was no longer hungry, boxed my food, paid my bill and left..... Next time you have something in mind, just do what ya mind tells you, things will turn out much...

Cannot wait for this place to go out of business!!

This is not a 1 time review. I have unfortunately been back to this establishment 3 times now. Its less than 1 mile from my house so its an easy walk for dinner/lunch. I have lived in my house for 5 years and I keep making the same mistake of forgetting how awful the food was and I go back ( usually after about a year or so of waiting to see if it will improve)

The place was absolutely dead at what should have been peak dinner hours. I went around 6:30pm. There wasn't a single person eating. There were 3 or 4 staff members who all appeared to shocked that someone walked through the door... not a good sign.

I've seen enough " bar rescue/ kitchen nightmares" type shows to know what happens to food when nobody attends a place. The food gets frozen so it doesn't get wasted. And then it sits in the freezer until it runs out or gets forgotten about and turns into sludge. Well for good BBQ this is the kiss of death for taste and quality. You simply cannot have good BBQ that is from the freezer, and this place has NO OPTIONS to make fresh or smoked meats because it would not be eaten ( because nobody goes here). There is 100% no chance that you will receive a quality meal if you order anything that would require a longer cooking time... like the majority of BBQ meats... so basically this place needs to be shut down by the health department.

Let me describe the " most popular" sandwich I had. Bun was so stale that the staff had to throw it in the oven to hide the stiffness of the bread by pretending it comes on a toasted bun ( which it does not). It was cardboard. Meat ( which I think started as pulled pork) resembled and smelt like dog food. It had clearly been made 1-2 weeks ago and was frozen in a huge tub, scooped out and reheated. After 3 bites I decided that I'd rather go hungry than risk getting sick from 2 week old pork. It was beyond gross. Fries were actually ok. No complaints, but frozen fries in the deep fryer are hard to screw up.

I eat a lot of BBQ. This place is a 0. A hard ZERO STARS. There are no redeeming qualities about anything at Woody's whatsoever. I've had it 3 times now and its just plain awful food.

Again - please go out of business so another restaurant can buy this location and I can have a...
