From the moment you step inside Ya Habibi Sweets and Ice Cream, you’re welcomed with heartfelt hospitality and a sample of their signature Turkish coffee. Though I passed on the offer — a bit bold for my taste — the gesture set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable visit.
This bakery is a treasure trove of Middle Eastern indulgence, and with all the buzz surrounding their Dubai chocolate, my wife and I took a chance on two standout treats: the Dubai chocolate bar and the Dubai chocolate cup with strawberries. Both were rich in flavor and utterly decadent. While the chocolate itself tasted equally divine in each, the cup delivered smooth richness with little texture, making each bite silky and satisfying. The bar, on the other hand, offered that perfect contrast — bold flavor layered with a delightful crunch.
You could taste the craftsmanship in every bite. Nothing felt pre-packaged or rushed. It was handcrafted excellence, pure and simple. We enjoyed it so much, we went back the very next day for another round of the chocolate cup — and this time, we added baklava and a sweet cheese dish to the mix.
The baklava was a masterclass in balance: crispy layers of pastry with just the right touch of sweetness. And the cheese dessert, though unconventional by description, was surprisingly elegant — creamy, sweet, and uniquely satisfying.

Read moreThis was a hard review to write because my wife and I were so excited that finally an Arabic sweets place opened up in Jacksonville. We actually went to their soft opening a couple days earlier and we tried the Arabic ice cream which was amazing ( this would be for now the only place in Jax that makes legit Arabic ice cream) and we tried the kunafa which was on point. We went again to the official opening with a couple of friends and we tried several sweets. The first let down is that they were out of Arabic ice cream which was fine. We got the madlouka, the balah El cham and Layali lebnen. Unfortunately the sweets were dry with not enough syrup ( called Ater in Arabic). We also got an assortment of Baklava for a couple of colleagues at work and I tried them and again they were very dry. I hope the owners don't get the wrong idea as I am writing this review hoping to come back and I think this is...
