Was one of the coffee shops I've been eyeing since I love cafe hopping. The interior is clean and minimalistic.
The flavors they had were, personally, the best i've seen. It's like they somehow read my mind and put all of my favorite stuff on the menu. Seriously creative drink flavors from strawberry cheesecake lattes to cinnamon toast crunch lattes(I literally was dancing in my spot in line after seeing that haha). I think everyone can guess what latte I got. I also got the beef empanada which was flavorful. The outer shell was a bit soft, but I think that was because they didn't toast it and I did say I wanted to eat it at home. The only thing was service was a little slow, but it was also very busy and they had to catch up on the orders. I guess it was worth it because during that time I could just watch the amount of care they put into each order.
I was also eyeing the gelato as they looked delicious. I picked up some facts on how to spot real gelato, and looking at their pistachio gelato, I'm pretty sure it's the best you'll get! They even gave me a little taste of one of them which really shows how much they pay attention to customers and their body language.
I'm not sure if they are dog-friendly and I didn't want to risk it but I did see another dog in there. If that is specified, I would definitely bring my dog and some friends there more often as a meetup area. I was also given a tiny cup of whipped cream, so that was also nice!
**Definitely recommend...
Read moreI am not from New Jersey, but it was such a great experience visiting the Jamesbrew Cafe. The coffee was high-quality and is now #1 on my list for my favorite coffee in New Jersey. They had an assortment of about a dozen pastries. I tried the pumpkin yogurt muffin which was fresh and tasty. The place pays homage to local history with huge murals of photos of the town of Jamesburg from a long time ago. There is ample seating throughout and an area with sofas for those who like to lounge. Even the bathroom was well-decorated and continued the theme of historic Jamesburg via wall murals. There was a festive atmosphere throughout. Seeing so many customers enjoying their time here is a big reflection on how inviting this cafe is. It definitely is a hub that benefits the Jamesburg community in a great way. I am looking forward to the food options that Karen the co-owner told me they will introduce in the upcoming months. Right now, they offer two types of empanadas; spinach and cheese, and beef. The spinach and cheese empanada...

Especially the iced coffee. I've never understood the obsession. It gets watered down and flavorless so fast.
Until it got too hot and I finally ordered one here.
Buying coffee has always been a small luxury for me but now I come in often enough that at Jamesbrew they ask if I want my usual (currently the iced lavender latte).
The food is often... . The croissants have a nonstandard flavor and lack the flaky, buttery texture of a proper croissant. The vegan pistachio muffin was kind of flavorless. The empanadas and sandwiches are "fine" at best. The rest of the pastries are good.
But the coffee is what matters most. I don't even want to look at a Starbucks.
Cheers to all the friendly and...
