I'm sure the people who have written reviews are regulars, but for anyone out of town, I think a real review is needed.
When we walked in, there was no greeting, or direction as to whether we were supposed to seat ourselves, or wait. So after a few minutes of standing there being stared at, we took a seat. A waitress came over, and while she was extremely nice, wasn't very good. When we asked if it was Pepsi or coke products, she walked off and just brought a Coke back to the table. The menu is a huge book- which immediately gave me a bad feeling. I'd rather have a small menu with food cooked right, then a large menu with bad food.
We didnt get our appetizer before the food because they made potato skins and the waitress thought we wanted potato pancakes, we wanted potato skins. She didnt bring my French onion soup over before the food either. I ended up with all of my food on my table at one time- and besides my wife's chicken sandwich, it was terrible. The French onion soup tasted worse than can soup, it tasted of raw onion and salt- that's it. My grilled cheese sandwich was cold and soggy. And the potato skins were cold and flavorless. I couldn't handle more than a few bites and had to have it taken off the bill. They asked if I wanted it remade, but I didn't have time before work.
If you're just looking for a grilled chicken sandwich, go ahead and eat there. Or maybe even breakfast when they're busy. But I definitely wouldnt recommend going there for dinner, if you're like me and just wanting some basic diner sandwich and soup- which is all I wanted. I will be stopping at Wawas on the way to work for...
Read moreIf you're ever passing through a small town and find yourself craving a classic diner experience, make sure to stop by the Diner. It’s the kind of place that feels like home, serving up delicious comfort food with a side of warmth and hospitality. On a busy Sunday, when the place was packed and the pressure was on, our experience was elevated by the exceptional service from Lindsay.
Managing a table of seven on a crowded day is no small feat, but Lindsay made it look effortless. She was the epitome of grace under pressure, juggling multiple tables without ever making us feel like we were anything less than her priority. She was attentive, quick with the refills, and always had a smile, no matter how busy things got. Lindsay's professionalism and friendly demeanor made our visit truly memorable.
Not only did she handle the rush like a seasoned pro, but she also had a knack for remembering the little details. She made sure our orders were just right and checked in with us just enough to make us feel cared for, but never hovered. It’s rare to see someone manage such a full workload with such ease and kindness, and Lindsay made our experience special.
The food, of course, was delicious—hearty diner staples done right—but it was Lindsay’s service that really made the difference. If you’re lucky enough to have her as your server, you're in for a treat. She’s truly the heart of this place, and we can’t...
Read moreThe food was fine. It was the server (or whatever you call the lady that seats you) that was a bit rude. I placed my order over the phone for pick up. I got there, walked in , two people in front of me, she seated them, asked me if i was with them, i said no i called in my order for pick up. she came back and asked the other young lady about my order, the other young lady proceeded to get my order, which was fine. you would have thought that the first lady would ring me up at the register, but she didn't. this other lady came in, and said she was there to pick up her food, she took care of her first, mind you that lady's order wasn't there yet. the young gal that went to grab my order, brought out both orders and handed mine to the lady at the register first. didn't matter, she made me wait while she finished taking care of this customer that came in AFTER me. THEN, she goes over to the register, grabs something from the counter and goes over to a few tables and takes the order of a couple of customers! no lie! THEN comes back to me to ring me up. I stood their patiently, looking confused as to why I was being ignored. I never felt so unwelcomed in my life. This is my employer has our weekly monday meetings there and I just expected to be treated fairly like any other paying customer. She made herself clear. I'll definitely never go back...
