Lin Garden — Restaurant in Jasper

First of all I was taken my nephew to eat celebrating the birth of his first born. When we walked in the lady who later described herself as being the owner after I ask to speak with her supervisor. She had 4or5 customers she was checking out & the lady waitress must have been new due to the fact every time I'd ask the prices of plate to go or buffet she'd interupt the "owner" asking her to relay back to me. So I was told $10/ plate to go or $9.25 to stay eat at buffet. So we decided upon to go so we were given these 7X7X2 in plates with 3 divides & a 6oz bowl. I'd ask about the eggroll or meat-on-a-stick sleeves that almost every restaurant such as this one offers. I was told plate bowl all I'm getting so they had 4or5 buffet bar's to choose from the food looked really good. So we like anybody put what we could fit inside plates bc were not getting the option to keep refilling the plates if we'd stayed. Once we get to checkout what was only suppose to be $20 + tax turned out to be $36.67. I ask nicely what was she charging me for she said I could barely close my plate. So I took it out & showed her what I had even ask other workers does the plate have to be closed. Getting answers back saying no whatever u can get in it there bc I noticed that they kept coming & standing around as what I know now (spying) on how much food was goin into plates. She started yelling me i mean embarrassed me saying "u ppl come in here thinking we don't have to make a living ourself" the restaurant was packed here she is got me in tears even tried to tell me that she had showed me how each plate should look upon paying the $10. She had customers checking out when we came in so at this point I'm asking a supervisor bc my nehews plate shut just fine but she's charging me for 3 plates she said there was food put in the 6oz bowls so I ask what was suppose to go in them. She said she told when I came soup LoL again never happen. I told her I could eat Ramon noodles at home but I said I'm not gonna continue to be belittled by her & that she needs to work on her communication skills & post something at the entrance or by the bar's indicating what goes in what and if overfilled you'll be overcharged. Before I was leaving she was " I'm sorry this I'm sorry that" I explained I appreciate the gesture but she should be more sorry for herself when I write this review. Btw my visit was 02/20/2017 & today is the 22nd & I still haven't been able to go back to work due to the fact I can't stay off toilet long...

My previous review was a five star. I’ve been eating here regularly for nearly three years and the food was always great and fast and the prices more than affordable. I say all of that because of a long history of very good everything. However, the past week or so, we’ve had take out from here three times and it was horrible. Twice it tasted burnt as though they’re not cleaning their equipment regularly. When we took it back, the white lady who is always at the front counter said it didn’t look burnt and that you can’t burn food in a wok. Since when? And it didn’t look burnt because it was likely cooked in a wok that hadn’t been cleaned or had burnt oil in it. She KEPT my food, didn’t give me a refund and made me pay for the replacement.

Last night we decided it was a fluke the previous two times and we loved this place so we tried again. We both were sick vomiting for hours. Everything we ate was off. The egg drop soup looked brown. The egg rolls tasted like bad oil.

I am disappointed that one of my very few favorite restaurants in this area has gotten this way. I also noted their health rating is only 88 and that was in May. I’d be interested to see what...

My father had wanted to take us my mom sister and myself to lunch there. $40 usually not to bad for (4) people but considering everything ridiculous. You cost your own selves money. By putting out food and it be cold!!!!!! Let me emphasize the word “COLD” as it was just 12:15. Not long after opening up. Everything I tried was cooked well but was super cold. Tables we’re steaming but food was cold!!! Cold shrimp tasted funny. My sister and I both agreed on that giving one reason we were excited to go. The sushi was a joke. Why even bother. It was the worse looking sushi I’ve ever seen. Don’t advertise sushi and that be it!!!! It was old and sticky and the size of a nickel. The egg drop soup was good but once again barely warm. My bowl was cold. Then put the ticket on our table as soon as we started eating. Then no fortune cookies. I asked at the register there was some in a bowl there they charged for those. Really never ever going back wouldnt if it was FREE and offered me gas to come on....
