Belk — Local services in Jasper

Me& Mother went in to purchase specific items from the cosmetics. We waited 20 mins alongside 2 other customers who we're looking for sales associates. We were patient, due to all this covid 19 outbreak but disappointed that items we needed was not in stock. My only other option was to pick an alternative shade. The sales associate was friendly& egar to help us out as she explained due to covid they were not permitted to give sample shades to try on nor could she apply product for shade comparison however if I purchased the item& shade didn't match or if I didn't like it I could return & get 100%money back with receipt of course. Items I purchased were not discounted, they never go on sale. Sales associate mentioned I should apply for credit card for 20% off but computer was down. It was 10 am so it was most likely updating. I finnished the transaction then spotted 2 additional items I needed& i headed for checkout where again I waited.... And waited... waited for another 15-20 mins at checkout. This time the sales associate was rude, she had no knowledge of items in her dept. That's 40 mins~wait time people!! On a more positive note... The store was clean& a rather large sale was going on. I saw markdowns throughout Dept store (Jasper, Al) If anyone's is thinkn bout going on their lunch-i would say skip the idea until u...

I've been shopping at this Belk's location for a long time. They've always got good sales going on. Many times they're cheaper than some of the so called discount or closeout stores and they're of higher quality.

When I need to buy sheets or linens, kitchen ware or other miscellaneous home items. I go to Belks. Good customer service, reasonable prices and a good selection.

I know shopping online is great for some, but there is always a delay because of Christmas season, COVID, etc...Always something. There's something about walking into a mall, actually conversing with a live human being and buying the things you need now. Not waiting and looking into your crystal ball to see if UPS and FEDEX MIGHT deliver your product.

I hope Belk's never closes. It's a classy store...

BELK DEPARTMENT STORE ALWAYS SCORES VERY HIGH ON MY 0-5 SCALE- WORST- BEST. I GIVE THEM A 5 FOR MY LAST VISIT WHICH WAS LAST WEEK. THEY HAVE MANY LOCATIONS TO SHOP AT IN ALABAMA FROM JASPER TO CULLMAN, BIRMINGHAM, SOUTH ALABAMA AND MANY MORE. THE STORE IN JASPER,ALABAMA IS MY CLOSEST STORE FOR ME,HOWEVER, I TS A MUCH SMALLER STORE THAN THE OTHERS I HAVE VISITED. THE STORE IN ROBUCK AREA AT THE HUGE GALLERIA IS AWESOME ! THERE ARE TWO LEVELS, EASY ACCESS TO THE SECOND LEVEL VIA ESCALATORS AND ITS DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE FROM MY HOME IN JASPER, IT TAKES ABOUT 1 HOUR- 1/2 AND APPROXIMATELY 65 MILES DEPENDING ON TRAFFIC AND ROAD CONSTRUCTION. ITS WORTH THE TIME AND MILEAGE IF YOU WANT BIGGER DEPARTMENTS AND MORE SHOPPING CHOICES! SO,HAPPY...
