Pepito's Restaurant — Restaurant in Jasper

this is my third time dining here. first time, sometime middle of the week, it was awesome, steak was cooked perfect the way I wanted, even my wife enjoyed her food. our server (hispanic server) was quiet but was straight forward with our order and never missed anything from our orders (five star to that server you are awesome!!!). second time was with the whole family, it was a Saturday, we really expected that its gonna be pack and it was REALLY PACK, waited for 45mins for a table, finally had a table and our server (hispanic server) was still cool after having a big table before us, took our order, got my usual of course and came out after almost an hour of wait, it was very understandable, because it was a very busy night. i was trying to let my family members experience, what i experience and they didnt fail me. the only problem is my aunt (a senior citizen) didnt like what she ordered. i know she was kinda picky with food and me trying to prove that the food was great, i ended up giving my order to her and her ordered food became mine. she said she loved it and will return again. (five star again to that server!!!). ok today (3rd time) which is a tues, thinking that its not gonna busy and its very close to us, we dine in and as expected didnt wait for a long time got a table. this is where it all started. ordered my usual, my wife got something for herself and our son. i just dont understand if the waitress (yes female, not hispanic) understand what i ordered. she came back and ask me again what i ordered and she said everything is okay. waited for like 40mins for our food didnt really complain about that, but the food was messed up when it came to our table, my sons food was overcook, he just ended up eating his fries. my wife's food was alright and mine was plain steak and rice. this waitress was horrible first, she didnt ask how do we like our steak cook, forgot to give me my veggies and salad, have to ask her if i can have a tortilla, she charge me for extra rice for $2.50. charge me for my son's drink, which is suppose to be part of his meal that is overcooked, have to ask her for napkins, did not have the urgency to fill up our cups, did not even give me a steak knife, i ended using a butter knife. this waitress needs a lot of training. HORRIBLE!!! im a good tipper and really know how waiters/waitress makes money, but this one doesnt deserve to have a tip, but i still give her something. dont know if i will comeback here again after that experience. hoping the Pepitos Management will hire waiters/waitress who have the passion to serve people and not just make money......

My husband and I had just driven in from Missouri, here to visit family. Stopped in to get some dinner. The place was empty. Woman who seated us was very rude, basically just pointed to a table, and slapped menus down. Our server acted like she was on meth. My husband ordered a chimichanga and I had what was supposed to be a beef enchilada. Our drinks came out and the cups looked dirty. When our food came out, I tentatively started to eat. That's when I noticed carrots and celery inside my enchilada. It seriously looked like someone took old, leftover meatloaf, and shoved it into a flour tortilla, and put sauce over it. It was disgusting. My husband's food was barely edible. As I was sitting there looking around, since I wasn't able to eat, I noticed how absolutely filthy this restaurant was. Greasy tables, windows with so many handprints and smears you couldn't see out of them. Floors so dirty to the point that if you accidentally scraped a white tennis shoe across the floor, there would be black gunk caked on the soles. The waitress never came over to ask how the food was, refill our drinks, nothing. We were the ONLY customers. I ended up not eating anything, and left there starving. Paid over $35 for an inedible meal. As we started to walk out, THAT'S when we noticed the health department rating that was displayed (and wished we had seen it when we walked in, we would definitely have walked back out) on the wall. They had a score of 68. That is a "D" rating. This place needs to be closed. Absolutely nauseating...

Very disappointed in the quality of my food and service...I was told I could not add steak.with chicken to my chimichanga. I've done it every other time so I don't know why I wasn't allowed this time. Then when I got my food on a take out order and got it home the chimichanga tasted like it had been in rancid oil and there was barely any rice or beans at all in the container. The Chile rellano was ok.other than I had ordered beef and got cheese. The Pepito's dip and salsa were good. The amount and quality of food for $32 was Def below par. This also happened last time I ordered from there. I chalked it up to maybe they were just having a bad night and I did not write a review. This time I did because I'm really kinda aggravated...I was looking forward to some good food.. I would have taken pictures but my phone was dead and no charger was available at the moment.... This may be my last time giving them my money which I'm sure my little $60. Dollars a month isn't going to hurt them this is just an honest. Also I did try to call before I posted this review to try to take care of this and was placed on hold and never returned to. Just very disappointed ☹️. I know Los amigos is very good. So maybe they'll appreciate my...
