I have heard nothing but great things about this place, so I finally went and gave it a try. I went on a Saturday with my boyfriend because we were celebrating our eighth year anniversary that day. I was so excited because everyone who I know that has eaten here raved about it. Well, I was a little disappointed š. Calamari was just about the only great thing we ate. Our filet mignon was so tiny. I don't even think it was 6oz. Besides, it was small and really wasn't appetizing. You can tell it was broiled, and a filet mignon should not be broiled. The lobster tail was ok, nothing great. We did have dessert, and the NY cheesecake was good. At this time, we got our bill and put in a forty dollar tip for our waitress. She was only a few tables down from us serving her other table. She had asked another server to grab our book and bring it to her. I was watching and saw the other server hand it to our waitress. At that time, our waitress put the book down at the table she placed her to try on to hand out food to one of her tables. I had not seen what happened after this. All I know is our server came back and handed the book back with our card and asked what the twenty dollars was for. We said twenty? There should be another twenty in there for your tip. She said no, all there was is one single twenty dollar bill. My boyfriend was upset and asked the gentleman that was seating people where it went because she had handed him the book at one point. No one knew where it went, and so my boyfriend ended up giving her another twenty dollars. The gentleman seating people insisted he'd take care of it and personally take care of it. My boyfriend refused, and we personally wanted to make sure she got the tip she had in the first place before someone pocketed the one twenty. I honestly will not be going back. How does money disappear that quick when we were not far from her when it got handed to her. It made us look like we were giving her a crummy tip for how much our bill was, and that's something we never do when we go out. Something does not sit right with me. They definitely got out on us with an extra twenty by someone pocketing that first one. Extremely disappointed, I just wanted a nice anniversary dinner and for us to not have part of our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDONT DO IT!!! Please be advised. You must avoid this place like the plague! Went there last night for dinner. Ordered a bowl of seafood bisque, filet, shrimp cocktail, mussels, and a seafood mix of lobster, scallops, and shrimp. I think! Let me start with the bisque. It was hard to tell the difference between the shrim and lumps of flour. The filet had no taste. I mean none. I had to de-vein a butterflied shrimp. You could have sewed the mussels together to make a pair of shoes ( my guess is previously frozen). The seafood mix was a mix of honestly I couldnāt tell anything apart. I believe it was just all boiled together and thrown over some mushy rice. Now, hereās the kicker! There was never a food check by the waitress or anyone for that matter. The girl refilling water was walking around with ear buds in. When I had brought up the problems to the waitress she said ā I have to get someone else, Iām not having a good day and canāt deal with thisā! She came back with what I believe was an owner. I believe this because he disagreed with me completely on how horrible the meal was. In fact he took my meal and grabbed a piece of shrimp took a bite of it in front of me and told me it tasted great! Yes he did that! He than took the steak in the back ate it came back and agreed it was bad. Blamed the cut not the cook. He said what he was going to remove from the bill and still charged for some things. I would have brought this up to him but he was literally so mad he was shaking while arguing about the meal while holding the dish. I had to call him out on it politely of course. I honestly canāt believe this place is in business. It was truly the worst experience I have ever had while trying to have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Let's start with the service. We had a reservation for 2 at 8pm on Feb 15th. We waited about 10 minutes to be brought to a table, and then another 35 minutes before the waitress even acknowledged us! The waitress said that the host waited that long to tell her we had been sat but who knows. And we were crammed into a tiny corner of the restaurant, there was some kind of unidentifiable red sauce splattered on the curtain next to us, and dust covering the windowsill behind me. Overall, the restaurant felt dirty and dated. We didn't get our food until around 9:30, an hour and a half after our reservation time. It was a busy night so I could've forgiven the wait time if it wasn't for the food, which is my next point.
The food: I had the seafood trio and the lobster that came with it was almost inedible with how over cooked and rubbery it was. The same with the shrimp. The scallops were cooked well but had zero flavor. My partner got the surf and turf and his lobster tail was the same - a solid chunk of rubber. Not to mention the steak was mediocre at best. We would've gotten better tasting steaks from Texas Roadhouse. Even with having the lobster tail removed from our bill, we still spent upwards of $100 (not including the $40 tip we gave our waitress)
Considering the price and seeing all the positive reviews, we had our hopes up. Safe to say we would've had a better time had we gone to the McDonald's drive through instead.
We will NOT be returning and telling everyone we know to stay far away...
