Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Jefferson City

I must first say that we are not regular customers of Zaxby's. The reason why we tried it last week was because of the free meal offered when opting in to receive text messages. I was impressed with the size of the meal itself...4 chx fingers. , fries. and a drink ..an $8 value. (The Big Zax Snax) No purchase required or anything. As for the quality of the meal, I would not go out of my way to get it again. I thought the chicken and the fries were both very dry and just didn't have that good fried flavor of oil that you get at the other chicken place. But it just may have been one of those off days that restaurants occassionally have I did order a side of fried pickles.....again, not impressed b/c I have had much better. The dining room appeared neat and clean as we waited for our food which we ordered Togo and was ready in less than 5 min. The young man at the register was very friendly from the very start and would be a reason I might give this place another chance. I was disappointed that they had discontinued fried mushrooms from the menu( the only item I have had before) because they were delicious and a reason to go back again. Why do they always discontinue the good stuff? One last thing worth mentioning is that I haven't received any texts since that day which I think is odd but...

Ok, we used to love Zaxby's and ate there all the time, but in the last couple of years the quality has drastically changed. I cannot continue to justify the exorbitant prices for the food they are offering, so we have cut down and have only visited 4 times in about the last year and a half, and it's not just this restaurant, but ones in other states as well. The last time was about 6 months ago and said enough back then. Well, we were craving Zaxby's today and sold ourselves on the idea by saying that maybe this one was different because we'd never been to this particular restaurant. It was no surprise when it was the same terrible food as the last 5 or 6 times. The wings are so tiny that between the bone and the breading, what little left was dry and inedible. The tenders are about at least half the size that they used to be, and the fried pickles, what few were there, we overcooked as well. Well, so long to about $25, but it won't happen again. We...

I called an order(Big Cob Zalad with toast) in tonight at 8:30 pm instead of the app because I can't figure out how to add toppings onto my zalads. Food is delicious and its always ready when I get there but tonight I asked the young man if there's a way to add toppings like more egg or cheese on the app. He told me to wait and he would find out. I sat there for 10 minutes after paying and receiving my meals but he never came back amd the young woman counting the drive thru til closed the window as I was trying to get her attention and refused to recognize I needed help. I left. I left drive thru at 9:13 pm and they were all closing their tils down even though it clearly states they close at 10pm on the window and online. What's up with that Zaxbys?!
