Am changing my review for service. Today, 8/29/25, I ordered a hot dog w/everything, same person, and others, always make a big deal of "hot dog with everything." So before all the ingredients, which costs more, were recited to me, I said that everything meant absolutely everything she could put on it to me." The young lady caught an attitude right away, and said, in a rude manner, " anything else?" I ordered double hot dog with onions only and juicy Italian beef." I gave her my card in her hand and she returned it on the counter and did the same for the receipt. Later when the workers were preparing the order, I could tell she did not take it correctly because, they were questioning the order about the "everything." I requested my money back and she had to process 3 times before I could get my refund receipt on the counter. Her attitude was unnecessary. When we go out, we go to catch a pleasant time not to catch grief for being straight up about how one wants a hotdog. In truth, I recognize that I should have left after the first attitude problem. Still, a businessman is there to make $, she just gave you 3 less customer. Today's cancelation was $25.08, my guess is that she does not need you to make that change! It still clean, spacious, fast service, reasonable prices, the best Italian ice Ive ever...

I got a beef sweet and hot, an order of fries, and a medium fountain drink and dined in. The sandwich was terrific. The meat was sliced not too thick, not too thin, the au jus was tasty and not too peppery, and it was very messy to handle and eat, but if it's not messy it won't be as tasty. The fries were hand cut and full of nice crispy edges and tips. I had a few quibbles... a pop refill costs .99. Not outrageous, but most places have free unlimited refills. In the future, I'll just get the 3 dollar 32 ouncer, which is reasonable... they have a single restroom, but you need to get the key from the cashier -- I just went home, but I'm sure when I go back, I'll eventually need to beg her for it... it's only counter seating on flat-topped metal stools -- not real comfortable, but I suppose they encourage turnover... and they have no trays, which is OK if you're eating alone, but if you have multiple drinks, you're going to need help getting your order to whatever part of the counter you're going to eat at or make multiple trips. Overall the food is good, the dining room only adequate. Maybe...

Five Stars for Bob-O's Italian Beef on Milwaukee!

I’ve had my fair share of Italian beef around Chicago, and Bob'O's might just take the crown—especially on the Northwest Side. The beef was outstanding: tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The portion was more than generous, and they didn’t skimp on the extras either. The sweet peppers were large, plentiful, and incredibly flavorful. The giardiniera had just the right kick and balanced the sandwich perfectly.

I also ordered fries, and wow—this was not your typical side. It was a massive order, more than enough to share, and they were fried to crisp, golden perfection.

From start to finish, they absolutely delivered. If you’re craving a true Chicago-style Italian beef, this is the spot....

I had a to go order. put in Styrofoam? the beef was not hot the beef was in a plastic container and added to the gravy in ftont of me.giardinara ehh 75 cents for a scoop.out of a jar. Jay's on Narragansett has fresh giardinara probably made in house. it's a good beef but for a ten buck sandwich go elsewhere. served with no napkins
