Incredibly sad, we have been customers here for close to 30 years. Stopped in for a quick Soda To Go while doing an errand next door. 9 dollars for 2 small sodas-maybe 16 oz max the same soda that Costco Charges.69 cents for! Honestly it's criminal. The owner knew we were grabbing them To go-why not inform us a can of soda would be cheaper. We are not getting refills as we were walking right out. It's not out of the realm of comprehension to guide your customers to a more economical path. I actually have had some conscientious business owners do this. So sadly to screw me over for a $9 soda order, he lost a 30 year customer. When I asked him about the cost -he told me to go to the grocery store, so I will do just that! Bye East of Eden's!

I went here for lunch. I had a Gyros and it was excellent. The meat was made just right. The pita was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The tomatoes were fresh. The tzatziki sauce was great. I had onion rings with the meal and they were very good. They were crispy and just the right color. The people were friendly. It was clean inside. I will return next time I'm in the area. Bicycling: Both roads at the corner are busy and not the most cycling friendly. It's really too bad as there are two trails less than a mile away. Hopefully the local government will put some cycling infrastructure in the area. The nice thing is they have outdoor seating.

Finally made it back to EOE since CV19! 4.15 stars...Chicken leg dinner was delicious and enough for two meals. Shrimp and perch dinners are huge too! Solid food, nice portions. Today we tried their Chocolate Frog. Usually restaurants pastries look better than they taste. This dessert was creamy, rich and also crunchy on a heavy chocolate base. Frog me baby! Note: closes at 8pm not 9pm as was PreCovid... Nice parking lot. Restroom was unattended to with paper towels overflowing. Grade of "C". Note: nobody seems to be wiping tables...Outside seating is available for those who need some fresh aire.

Ordered fish 'n chips today after reading a positive review. My meal was truly awful. The three pieces of fish had been fried in the rancid frying oil for far too long. The breading was cooked dark and had become saturated with old cooking oil that had the bitter, burnt taste that comes that comes from being overused and contaminated with the residue of far too many prior meals. The fish within was a soggy, oily mush on the inside. Curious, I poked the breading away and tried two small bites of the fish anyway. Big mistake. For hours afterward, the horrible taste kept coming up as mini-belches, despite having had just those two nibbles. Unexpectedly, the side of rice was adulterated with that flavor of old cooking oil. Because I was hungry, I was tempted to just put up with the off flavor and eat the rice regardless, but it was just too unappetizing. I was surprised to discover that the fries were not quite as bad as the other stuff, but that ubiquitous bad fry oil tainted their flavor and I could only eat a few of the fries before pushing the plate away. On a positive note, I had ordered chicken rice soup with the meal and enjoyed it, so I think it is likely a safe bet for you. Everything else was so disgusting, however, that the tasty soup was not enough to overcome the overall one-star rating I give to the meal. I realize that there are a lot of 4- and 5-star ratings for this restaurant. My review here is just to warn you that your own experience may not be a...

Great local place with a long history in the neighborhood. The menu is extensive and offers options for everyone. The service is friendly and quick, and the interior is clean and welcoming. There’s an outdoor patio covered in grape vines if you’d like to sit outside, but we’ve always just done carryout. Prices are great for the quality and speed and it’s an ideal place to grab lunch while working on a weekend project, or dinner on a work night. I’ve personally had almost all of their menu, and really pleased with everything. Notable standouts are the full roasted chicken, ribs and gyros. The cheeseburger is solid, and classic, not super fancy but delicious. Soups are great and I have no idea what magic goes into the rice pilaf, but despite multiple attempts to make it at home just can’t replace how good it is here.

Parking is easy, both the lot off of Cicero and the large lot in the back of the building. Wait for counter service orders is almost always 10 mins or less no matter the items.

Definitely a favorite of ours and a staple in the...

Second time visiting. We stopped in once for a quick snack a couple weeks ago. Menu looked interesting so we decided to give it another shot. We started with our order being wrong followed by bad food. Gyro was super cold and tasted undercooked, stopped eating it after a couple of bites didn't want to risk getting sick. Ribs were cold, seemed like they just slapped warm BBQ sauce on it and sent it out. We got our food in leas than 5 minutes, I Should of know there was an issue with food because of that. Food wasn't on the counter for more than 30 seconds so it's not like it sat there getting cold. Atmosphere was ok, couple of the tables were dirty with some kind of food on them. Some pee coming out of the men's bathroom urinal into dinning room which I'm sure someone just missed and didn't tell staff. Food wise definitely not worth a...
