Me and my family was in Chicago to visit relatives and I was craving for kfc so I stop at the location on north Ave around 9:30pm or after I do not know exactly due to I did not receive a receipt. I know every time I visits I get good customer service and food be hot and fresh. That the only reason why I go to this location. I can say in the morning and evening service is great when I order food in drive thru when I visit. But tonight I order a number 1, my chicken and mash potatoes was really cold. I did not receive any hot sauce or honey with my order when I check my.I knock on the drive thru window to ask for some. Workers gather around talking, a young lady with a purse come to the window and stated, “naw we don’t have no hot sauce or honey”. While the lady who gave me my food with head set came to the window as well. My Fiancé stated really we always get hot sauce and honey with our order. In my mind I knew they was lieing. Another worker walk past and the lady with the head set said we have hot sauce but we don’t have honey. We got the hot sauce package and left as we get to Narragansett I ask can he give me the receipt so I can take a survey.he stated, the lady just gave me the card back with no receipt. Read morePlaced a mobile order through the KFC app. Proceeded inside the restaurant to pickup my order. I was told it would be another 10 mins for original recipe chicken or I could choose the extra crispy chicken with no wait. I chose to wait. I went out to my car to wait the 10 mins. When the 10 mins lapsed, I proceeded to walk back in and was locked out. They had locked all the doors into the restaurant. I waited and an employee signaled me to go to the drive thru. I proceeded to the drive thru and advised I had the mobile order I was waiting for and she said they still didn’t have the chicken ready. I couldn’t wait in the drive thru for my order and needed to park next to the wall, which I did. I waited another 12 mins and proceeded to the drive thru pick up window. She said the chicken still wasn’t ready and I could just cancel my order, so someone else could receive my chicken. I wanted my order at this point. I contacted customer service via the mobile app chat and advised of the situation. He advised I could not cancel my order or get a refund because the restaurant confirmed my order was ready for pick up. I went back to the window 10 minutes later to advise this. Taste - Very meh. They seem to use a different chicken recipe than the regular chicken which is disappointing. The soggy breading doesn’t help at all. When the bun is the best part then you know it’s bad. 2/5
BBQ chicken sandwich: Appearance - The sandwich is coated in a generous amount of barbecue sauce and looks delicious. 4/5
Taste - Perfection. Sweet Baby Ray's quality sauce. A bit soggy though. 4/5
Wings: Presentation - A textbook example of how you cook wings. They are small even though they're not boneless so be wary of that. 5/5
Taste - These are pretty spicy. Juicy and tender, but not fall off the bone tender. Not the greatest wings I've ever had, but these are good wings. 4/5
Overall, this KFC is a good wing stop (pun definitely not intended.) They get things mostly right. The chicken sandwich was back when it first was released so some mistakes were made there & KFC has changed things up since then. It’s not going to break the bank so next time I’m in the area I’ll stop by to grab a few.
