The Original El Gran Burrito — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Over the past 3 years Ive frequented the restaurant (2-3 times per week) I’ve never had a problem with any of the food up until my last 2 Uber eats orders. For the past 3 years ive been ordering a steak burrito no lettuce or tomato add rice and cilantro and a shake and by now some of them have memorized my order. My order on January 23rd 2020 seemed to be fine, nothing out of order. The very next day I was nauseous and had uncontrollable diarrhea. El gran was the only thing I had eaten that day and I was perfectly fine after eating at home the night before. This morning around 1:15am I reordered The same thing I always do and just a few hours after I find myself nauseous and vomiting as well as having uncontrollable diarrhea. I ate at home earlier yesterday and felt fine until I ate from El gran. I saved a portion of my food to be tested by the health department this time so I will update this review after they test it to see why it’s making me so sick. They said it sounds like it’s being done intentionally. I will sue and be the new owner of this business if that is the case. Stay tuned for and updated review.

Originally had rated this place 5 stars, but after a recent visit the place has definitely changed.

The customer service here was terrible. I tried to call ahead about 5-10 minutes before I arrived to place an order. I was placed on hold and forgotten about.

When I arrived I saw only one customer was there. So I’m not sure why they weren’t able to take my order over the phone.

Staff does not greet you when you come in, the woman cashier was just on her phone, standing at the register and didn’t help me out for a few minutes.

I asked for green sauce over the phone, but didn’t receive it in my bag so I headed back inside to ask for some once more. I asked the cashier if I could get some green sauce, she directed me to ask the guy at the other end who handed me my food. I asked him for some, he said it would be a $1.00 charge and I told him that was fine. He said I needed to go back to the cashier and pay for it and I went back to the cashier again who I originally went to. The staff is truly just disorganized and doesn’t know what they’re doing.

Food is decent. I rather just order out from this restaurant, don’t expect good customer...

Took these people 18 years to "greet" me. They looked at me and spoke Spanish to each other, all while being unattractive and badly built. The burrito is nasty and is making me nauseous. It's like a ground beef/ steak mix. More ground beef than steak. It's like they counted out 10 pieces of steak to add to a lot of ground beef. It's a nasty mixture. I gave half away to see if it was just nasty to me. Fed some to the cat to see if it would eat it or not. I tried to finish the rest so I wouldn't waste money, but wound up throwing the rest away. It was mostly ground beef wrapped in a tortilla shell. The nastiest burrito I've ever had. Anybody who think this burrito is good never had a decent one before. Chipotle is better. Strange store set up. The glass is extra thick and cloudy. You can barely see through it. This was my first and last time here. What I ordered was just nasty. they don't call out your order to let you know when it's ready or nothing. and the food has the nerve to be nasty after such...
