I had a pleasant experience in my time renting a 10x15 storage unit here! Priscilla always went above and beyond with every interaction I had with her. Her customer service skills are top notch! The facility is always super clean thanks to her and her staff. The renting process was smooth and fast. I was able to use their truck for the move in process and it is well maintained, clean & runs smoothly. I would’ve kept renting here if I didn’t move away from the city. I looked at FIVE other CubeSmarts before I made my next decision and none of them compare to this location! There is not one but two drive in parking lots to protect you from the harsh weather along with a huge parking lot in the park and a few other access doors. The location is crisp all white facility very well lit and I’m not sure if it’s every unit but mine had carpet inside which is a nice touch compared to the concrete floor I have now. There is a bathroom and water fountains near the office, you just have to catch it during store hours as they have a key in the office for safety reasons. The move out process is super simple too, just clear out your storage unit and return it in the same condition that you received it in. I recommend adding your credit card on autopay for obvious reasons and downloading the CubeSmart app for easy access all around. Every door has a number and you just simply pull up the app while arriving there. This might not matter to some but everyone I met during my time renting here (the neighbors lol) was friendly, I really enjoyed the small talk and everyone offered to help if I ever needed help loading or unloading my belongings. It was the easiest & friendliest set-up when we rented a cube. We received positive, prompt support any time we reached out during our lease --- truly their team is the best.
In closing out our storage unit lease, we were AMAZED at the support we received! Moving from Hawaii to Georgia, and having to do a trip to Chicago to get our furniture from storage brings challenges -- only more so when we lost our storage keys mid-travel..it was stressful given all our flights/mover truck/hired movers were booked for Chicago, but...
We were BEYOND supported when right away on the phone, Jacqueline, whom I could tell was really busy with customers, made special effort to hear our situation and call her manger (who was off that day) to see how they could help us out given our situation...she genuinely cared and wanted to help us out...THEN she called back to let us know that the manager, Sam, (on his day off) offered to come in 45 mins EARLY the next day to help us out and cut the lock - since our mover truck/2 helpers would be arriving at 8:15am. The manager, Sam, honored his word and came in early -- just amazing!
This is top-level customer care and it is rare to find in a business these days. Both Jacqueline & Sam easily could have said 'sorry to hear but there is nothing we can do' -- as many businesses would have. Especially since we were closing out our lease so it would have been so easy for them to do.
We 100% will use CubeSmart again the next time we need storage & I hope that Jacqueline & Sam will be recognized for their superb efforts by the CubeSmart...
Read moreI’m looking forward to vacating my unit at the end of summer due to many reasons. Here’s a few:
1). Exorbitant rent increases. 2). Train tracks that cause additional traffic back ups and time getting to this place. 3). People smoking cigarettes and weed on the property and NOTHING being done about it. It’s been reported numerous times. Your stuff will be damaged from the smell, not to mention the possibility of a fire. 4). Poor upkeep of the property itself. Broken doors, trash and discarded items in the back lot weekly. Sliding door inside has been broken for 2 years. They’re too cheap to fix it. Fire and safety hazard. 5). People loitering in the back lot, making me feel unsafe. Not sure who they are and whether or not they’re renting here. 6). No restroom access before or after hours. If you need to use the restroom you better go before you come. 7). They’ll lock your code out after 5 days past your due date and not tell you. Inconsistent policies and practices around this. 8). Warehouse and trucking school next door and across the street. Good luck getting through. Absolute nightmare. 9). Random semis from warehouse and trucking school parked in the back lot, running over the grass and causing potholes as well as coming dangerously close to your parked car (this has happened to me twice). No security gate to prevent this! Disgraceful. 10). Indifferent, condescending district manager who doesn’t know how to speak to customers. This is how you lose customers and your occupancy rate goes DOWN.
