We made a reservation for 1:15 as a group of 8 on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t busy when we came in but BOY were there issues.

Waiter was friendly at first - took drinks and appetizers right away. While we waited for all of them, we witnessed one waiter drop and spill a burger and fries all over the ground. It didn’t get picked up for over an hour….but there’s more!

Chips and salsa came first, within about 10 mins, but drinks probably took 30 mins to arrive. We gave them the benefit of the doubt as it seemed there might only be 4-6 people we could visibly see working and maybe one was only on bar. Rest of apps eventually came after 45 mins and the onion rings and fried mushrooms were great! When she brought out the salsa she took our entree order. This was about 1:10, as we had arrived a bit early.

We witnessed a couple come, order, and leave, before our food finally came out at 3:20 p.m. In the time we waited, the place got busier and we witnessed multiple guests having to weed through the fries all over the ground and avoid the burger that had been left behind. About 4 of us also ordered a second drink at about 2 p.m., since we assumed food would arrive soon.

Second order of drinks had one drink wrong and first order of drinks the waitress never fixed a wrong pop order so the person who got it never drank it. When food arrived multiple orders were wrong and they tried to serve a regular burger to a vegetarian. I had a regular burger and was told to pass the other to the girl who ordered veggie. I asked if the server knew what was correct and she had no idea what burger qualified as veggie. We confirmed via a taste test they were both meat. One girl doesn’t eat pork and wasn’t alerted when she asked about salsa that both red and green Chile had it in them. Another 2 orders were also incorrect. All fries were cold upon arrival, and visibly you could tell they’d been sitting for at least half an hour. When our waiter told the other man working about the issue with the pork in the enchilada Chile, he told our waiter it’d be an hour before he could make more. The waiter never came back to our table and was assisting another. In that time a girl in our group went to tell the man working who told our waiter it’d be an hour for enchilada’s that we wanted to cancel it, and the man working said he had no idea what order or conversation with our waitress we were talking about even though it’d happened within 5 mins. The man working was visibly high and smelled of it too!

When we got our food we asked for boxes and it took 20 mins to receive them along with our checks. Some checks were also wrong.

We finally made it out of there after 3+ hours with the agreement we would never come back. Terrible service for no reason along with a long wait that made no sense…

TLDR; Took hours for no reason, orders were wrong, terrible staff - one was high, DO...

I was excited going in, I liked the atmosphere at first. The drink menu looked good. Then a guy at the table next to us started watching a game out loud on his iPad. We switched tables to get away from the noise. My mom got a half rack of ribs, I got a cheese enchilada with red sauce.

The enchilada came out with meat chunks in the sauce. Now I understand why they mentioned on the menu that they have a vegan sauce option, but I hate that vegan and vegetarians always get lumped together. I definitely wanted real cheese, and honestly I also like my enchilada sauce made with chicken broth, I just don’t like the texture of meat so that was another thought. Never in my life have I seen meat chunks in enchilada sauce so it was unexpected and gross. I let one of the waitresses know my issue and she was kind and offered to exchange it for vegan sauce one.

The next one came out absolutely drenched in sauce to the point where cutting into it caused sauce to spilleth over the dish. The other half of the plate was comprised of a mess of their disgusting cardboard-tasting beans, no rice this time.

My mom’s meal was also nasty, but she ate it whereas I did not. I let one of the waitresses that came up to the table know I wasn’t pleased and also we wouldn’t be paying for the drinks we never got. She didn’t apologize, just said they were training, and then said, “so just the ribs then?”. Yep. I guess so. She never came back for over 15 min, but my mom saw her and the other waitress we’d spoken with getting ready as if they were about to get off work and go out somewhere. We walked out. Would never go back. One of the worst overall dining experiences...

This was my second time at this restaurant, and unfortunately, both visits were disappointing.

The first time was awhile back, shortly after my grandfather passed away. This was his favorite place, so our family went to honor him. We sat for nearly two hours and never even got our drink orders taken. We left without food, without drinks, and very upset. Fast forward to this weekend, my husband suggested we give the place another chance since we were staying nearby and it was the only spot open. The atmosphere is nice, with good music and decorations, but the service was just as bad as before. At least this time we got drinks… but that’s where the positives end. We waited about 30/45minutes before our server even took our food order. I ordered a bar drink, which came out so late I had forgotten I even ordered it. The food itself was okay at best, my burger was dry, and honestly, we just wanted to eat quickly and leave. The biggest issue was again the service. No refills, long waits, and when we finally asked for a check and a box, the server gave us attitude. She initially just told us a total without showing a receipt. When I asked for the actual check, she stormed off. When it became clear she wasn’t getting a tip for such poor service, she yelled “Have a good night!” at us twice, loudly enough to be heard over the bar’s music and crowd. And this wasn’t a friendly “Have a good night”

This restaurant seems to have a reputation with both tourists and locals, so you’d expect a higher standard of service. Especially for the price of food, Unfortunately, both of my visits showed the exact opposite. Sadly, this will be the last time we...

This Restaurant would be easy to miss out on while winding through the Beautiful Mountain Road it's on. However, you DON'T want to miss it! It is Fabulous! Taking a Step back in time is easy with the Decor. As well as a Beautiful Mural on the side.(Photos included) Their menu is Simple, yet perfect. You can choose to have a Taste the Traditional New Mexico cuisine (Green Chile) mixed with the option to have some of your favorite dishes. I chose a Reuben Sandwich (Picture Included), which I was surprised to see as an option. This is my favorite Sandwich to try at a New Location and they did not disappoint! It was made to perfection and had the explosion of flavor upon biting that the sandwich is truly mean to have. I visited this Restaurant on Labor Day and it was absolutely packed. Upon sitting, our server informed us it would be a 40 minute wait for food. We ordered and enjoyed drinks from their Cocktail Menu. Including the Prickly Mule (pictured) The food arrived ahead of schedule and was certainly worth the wait. All in my party were very satisfied and look forward to returning. Big shout out to our Server Brenna. They were super busy when we came in and she was still nice, courteous and attentive. Which are things that often fall off in other experiences I've had. She gave Top Notch service and worked to find an Alternative when the bar didn't have the drink I wanted. This was the Best Restaurant experience I've had in a long time and I truly look forward to visiting there again.

I recently visited Los Ojos Restaurant & Saloon, and I must say, it was a delightful and unique experience! Having always wanted to see a traditional saloon, this place surpassed my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I had traveled back in time, surrounded by rustic charm and history. The décor was exactly what I hoped for—classic wooden furniture, old Western saloon ambiance, and walls covered with intriguing memorabilia that tell stories of a different era. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, with friendly locals and travelers enjoying great conversations. You could almost imagine the clinking of spurs and the hum of live music from the past. The food was fantastic! I went for their local favorites, and every dish was packed with flavor. Whether you’re craving something hearty or just looking to enjoy a drink at the bar, Los Ojos offers something for everyone. The portions were generous, and the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and filled with that small-town warmth. But what really stood out to me was the overall experience. It’s more than just a place to eat; it’s a place to immerse yourself in the history and spirit of the Old West. Whether you’re a history buff or just someone who enjoys a good meal in a unique setting, Los Ojos is a must-visit. If you’ve ever wanted to step inside a real saloon, this is the place to do it! I’ll definitely be back.
