Burrito Heaven — Restaurant in Jensen Beach

I recently moved to the area, just a few minutes walk down the road. I decided to give the place a try, and had their Kings Burrito Wednesday afternoon. Burrito was really good, everything you want in a TexMex Bfast burrito.

What threw me off was the charge on the menus outside and inside say it was $8. And I got charged $9 for the burrito. When I asked the employee if that was incorrect or if I got marked with an up charge by accident, she said oh I don’t make the prices, my boss does.

I understand the employee is not in charge of markups, but if your menu does not indicate the correct price, and a customer brings it up, have a manager manually discount it and correct your menus. Instead I got the “I’m not in charge of that”. A simple solution was to grab a manager. I was literally the only person in the restaurant. I’d guess there probably wasn’t even a manager in the location.

Not a big deal, but it’s the principle. Also it’s illegal to have prices not correctly indicated on your menu & what you charge.

Get a manager during your hours of operation. Or give your employees a manager code to fix small discrepancies...

The setting is nice . Ordered 2 burritos about 3 months ago. Haven't been back. My friends burrito was wrong and you kind of build it to what you want on receipt. There was something he didn't want due to allergies that said on receipt to not put in. Ok honest mistake but we were like the only ones in there. Also I didn't like the fact seeing the guy in back making my burrito with no gloves on mixing up the rice container with his bare hands and putting burritos together. That isn't so bad except he had a sweat rag on his shoulder wiping his face off then putting it back on his shoulder and proceeding to make food without washing sweaty hands. After seeing that I couldn't bring myself to finish the burrito. Kept thinking about that sweaty rag on his shoulder and hands. Anyways if the owner sees this you need to step up sanitation . Maybe the ac wasn't working but still. Gloves might have been nice to see on said employee. We ended up just leaving and eating somewhere else.
