Lures Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Florida

The fun atmosphere was apparent as we approached the large crowd at the outdoor bar and picnic tables. There must be a reason why so many people were here late Thursday afternoon: Happy Hour!

We grabbed the last 2 seats at the bar, ordered some fried fish bites, and a few drafts. The fish was delicious, and the remoulade sauce was just right - we found out later it was called their "Sexy Sauce."

We moved to a table, as some parties started leaving. The loud, fun atmosphere we saw outside was also inside; loud chatter by everyone, but all of it seemed fun and positive.

Our server, Aubrey, was very nice, patient, and helpful with her first-time guests to Lures. As she was answering questions about what comes with various dishes, one answer was misheard that the Remoulade was called "Sexy Sauce" that caused quite a stir at ourntable, then an uproar of laughter! [a few tears were shed we were laughing so hard!!]

We, seriously, told Aubrey she needs to coin this phrase and have everyone use it. We mentioned that we would buy shirts with that catchphrase on it in a heartbeat. We even suggested to Aubrey she should suggest this to her manager so she would get credit for creating another marketing [money] stream for the business!

The remainder of our meal and our evening were accompanied by several "Sexy Sauce" comments! We hope there are shirts...

I’m a native in Martin County. Went a few times. More of a drinking establishment. The bar outside is sometimes busy, but the restaurant & bar inside isn’t. There’s no atmosphere inside, the outside is somewhat pretty, if your looking at the better side of the restaurant. But there is no waterfront view. People that work there don’t look happy to be there, but maybe the girl bartenders??? Seen a couple of instances that were disturbing & I’ve only been there a few times. Service was poor & they mess up the orders for food. I’m a native in Martin County, there are so many more places to go eat!!!! Stuart has so many great family owned restaurants & Franchises in the Martin County area are great, too!!! And PSL. With atmosphere!!!!!!!!! There is The Dolphin Bar, Conchy Joe’s, The Hoffman in Jensen beach that has so much more by the waterfront, real waterfront!!!!! Also Hutchinson Island, so many more awesome places that have so much real atmosphere & real riverfront!!!!! We arrived at 6:30pm on a busy Friday and were able to grab 2 stools at the outdoor bar. Server was effective in taking our drink order. However, she did not offer if we wanted our RumRunners frozen or not. We were given the frozen option. It was very sweet. From there, the service was pretty much nonexistent. My friend noticed the 2 server girls were doing shots of Crown Royal on the sly (or so they thought?).

We asked for menus and chose a couple of options. Then we waited and watched the 2 servers walk by us numerous times but never check in, so we had to grab one as she passed by. Food came out within a short time. My mussels in white sauce …..drowning in margarine, no hint of garlic. Mussels were generous portion but the garlic butter sauce was lame. My friend opted for fish fingers which were very good. No check in by either server about food quality. No check in to see that we were done eating and needed plates removed. I had to call one server aside to take the plates away.

Wonder if the managers or owners are aware of such poor service being provided? Wonder if they realize the servers are getting drunk while they work, do they care? Maybe because we were older than our 20s or 30s, maybe the servers are allergic...
