New Canton Restaurant — Restaurant in Jerseyville

On a Trip from STL to Illinois to score some motorcycle parts , I got really hungry. So glad I found this place. The lunch special is a killer deal at $8, we each got a different one. The dishes were beef and broccoli, garlic chicken, and orange chicken (my favorite). Everything was delicious, perfectly flavored, cooked to perfection and authentic. New Canton reminded me of my days living in the SF Bay area going to local Chinese spots. It's a nice little hole in the wall location with no frills that doesn't try to be pretentious, just a down to earth atmosphere with an emphasis on good food! Will definitely ride out here for...

This will be the last time I ever go to this place! The workers in there are so hateful! You can't even ask a question about a dish without them getting all bent out of shape over it! And acting in such a hurry and bothered by it! I can't be the only one that thinks this about this place because I have never picked up an order from this place from anyone nice! You would think they would want to keep business instead of loosing it! Very good general tso combo! I really like the option of wonton or egg drop soup instead of spring rolls. The egg drop soup was really good. Got the lunch portion of Gen tso and it was delicious! Fried rice was good, but the chicken was cooked just right. Honestly some of the better Gen tso I've had. A lot of converse places the chicken is minimal and mostly the exterior breading, but this was mostly full chicken with the expected exterior also. Cooked to order, not sitting around on a heating pad. All that for just under $10 with tax, win! You should try it!...
