QQ Buffet — Restaurant in Jerseyville

There was only one worker while I was there. At least on the floor. This woman was the shining example of what a host should be. She was helpful, nice, she wasn't weird, talking to the kids without first the adults acknowledging it, she was always quick to remove plates. She refilled drinks quickly, and without complaint. I noticed that she managed to do all this, help my table and two other tables, the front counter, and even was having what looked to be a lunch break in between in it all, without that personal bit taking even a moment from customers. In my experience a lot of employees from various places will start getting too friendly and downright weird with the kids, and that frustrates me to no end. I choose to believe it comes from a good place, I just don't like it lol. This place was different. It was the perfect balance. Never been there before yesterday, but will certainly go back. I almost never tip, and never on the first go around, but this definitely deserves acknowledgement. Next time we are there, I will most certainly be tipping her exemplary...

This was one of the worst places I have ever been to in my life me and the wife walk in and the place has a weird smell and it was about 85 degrees hot and humid. Usually we aren’t picky about buffets and we get everything but this time we did and all of the noodles broccoli or any vegetables or dumplings were just pure mushiness and not very good the noodles just were mushy and tasted like raw dough the rice was crunchy none of the food was seasoned and most of it was not even hot or cold like the warmers or coolers weren’t working The deserts and salad croutons tasted like they have been they have been sitting in the fridge for weeks on end The only good thing about this place was the fortune cookie they give you when you pay their outrageous prices for this buffet would highly not recommend this...

I am not sure who wrote previous reviews, but they must be family members because this was the most disgusting Chinese food I have had in many years! All of the fried food had a terrible dirty grease taste, The tempura chicken for the sweet-and-sour chicken was soggy, The peanut chicken was very well done had no peanut flavor and was cut into large chunks. Everything had the same brown color and seem to be covered in brown gravy. I can appreciate that there are probably very few options in such a small community, but it is definitely not worth the wasted money. My advice is to pass on...
