I use to like the Cracker Barrel, but it has gone downhill tremendously. After it reopened after the pandemic, I've had nothing but problems every time I've came back. Today did me in royaly! I came especially on Thursday because it's turkey & dressing day. So when I got there I was immediately seated. Then in a minute my waitress came and I told her what I wanted. So after about 15 minutes she brings my drink. 15 more minutes past and she finally brings me some cornbread. It was burnt and no bigger than 1/2 inches in thickness. Hard and dry. So 15 more minutes goes by a guy brings my food. It looked fine. But then I saw it was missing the dressing. My waitress was nowhere to be seen. I finally saw the guy who brought it to me and and flagged him down and I told him I didn't get my dressing. He looked at me like I had two heads. "He said what? I repeated. "He said what's that pointing at my turkey. I said that". I said thats turkey with gravy on it. "Oh" he said. So he goes back to get my dressing. In the meantime I'm hungry so I take a bite of my pinto beans. They tasted like they came for a burnt pot. So as he's coming back, I was going to tell him but when he came up and said " we're out of dressing". Why wasn't I told when I ordered it. So I told him I wasn't satisfied, and that I had problems here in the pass. Can it get my meal discounted since there's no dressing. He said " I don't think so". I ask why. He said I'll get a manager. 15 minutes later no manager. So I didn't eat anything but the bite of beans. I got up and left it sitting there. I will not go back there again!!!

What is not to say about Cracker Barrel. Their food is always scrumptious and the homey atmosphere makes it such a warm and inviting place to go. It doesn't matter whether you're by yourself or with the whole family it's just such a great place to go! They have exceptional pancakes and can be purchased by the box so you can try your luck at home; my only reservation is don't forget to purchase their pure maple syrup as well! A great place to eat. We only wish they would build one in Kingsport on Rt 11 West going toward Church Hill. Right now we have to travel over 1/2 hour to get there. Update: We went to Cracker Barrel last night for dinner and it was really busy. It took a very short time, maybe 15 minutes to be seated at around 6:30 pm but after ordering it took a very long time to get our food; not typical. I usually order breakfast for dinner, but thought as a change I'd order a Chicken Pot Pie, I was wrong. For me, it didn't taste like I remembered but they did reimburse me for it Next time, and I will go back because their pancakes both regular & blueberry are so delicious, and add their individual warm bottles of Maple Syrup! 6/10/2025 My wife, Bette, and I had breakfast at Cracker Barrel this morning. What a delight our server was. Olivia was personable, knowledgeable and served us a hot meal, refilled our drinks as quickly as ever; give that girl a raise! With server's like that we will surely be back!

To start off, we are traveling with our TT. Cracker Barrel's are typically RV/TT friendly. Not this Cracker Barrel. All of the RV/bus parking spaces, except one, had cars or SUVs parked in. There were several empty parking places in the parking lots, so I'm not sure why there were cars/SUVs parked in these spots. Perhaps as a deterrent for those of us traveling in RVs/TTs? We were able to park, so that problem was solved. After going inside, things went absolutely horrible. The hostess seated us, and left. We waited 20 minutes - no exaggeration - for a server to never actually show up. At the 20 minute mark, we left. On our way out we stopped at the hostess stand to let them know we were leaving due to lack of a server even acknowledging we were there, not even to offer an excuse or a sob story. We understand that every business is short staffed - we have dined out before - but it's really not hard to have someone - even the hostess - say "we are short staffed, someone will be with you shortly". We got nothing. Not even a glance. When we talked to the manager on duty to let him know why we were leaving he told us that his staff wasn't trained yet, blah blah blah. Offered to pay for our dinner. No thanks. This is not acceptable. Save your time, drive a few more miles and eat some place else.

Cracker Barrel Restaurant Review: A Delightful Dining Experience

During my recent visit to Cracker Barrel Restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both their food and service. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

The menu boasted a wide variety of classic American comfort food, and I was eager to try some of their signature dishes. I opted for their famous Homestyle Meat loaf, served with creamy mashed potatoes, green beans, and a fluffy buttermilk biscuit. The meat loag was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sides were equally delicious, with the mashed potatoes being velvety smooth and the green beans retaining a satisfying crunch. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me feeling fully satisfied.

What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service I received. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They promptly refilled my drink, checked on me frequently, and answered all my inquiries with a genuine willingness to assist.

The ambiance of the restaurant was reminiscent of a charming country store, with wooden rocking chairs and nostalgic decor. I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere, which allowed me to savor my meal at a leisurely pace.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Cracker Barrel Restaurant, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The waiting time for a table was slightly longer than expected, and the noise level in the dining area could be a bit distracting during peak hours.

Overall, Cracker Barrel Restaurant delivered a delightful dining experience with its delectable food and attentive service. It is undoubtedly a place I would recommend to anyone seeking a taste of comforting, home-style...

We ordered pick up today 1/25/2025. Had issues with the food quality but there is no point in writing the details. Cracker Barrel never responds to a review or contact email for negative issues.

Previous review: It was my birthday and I was excited about eating breakfast out. I decided on Cracker Barrel. This was a mistake today. I'd liken this visit to flying on Delta Airlines. First we were confronted by a semi angry stewardess..waitress. She rushed us to order. My wife settled on a plate of 3 pancakes for $8.49. They were flavorless. And she had to wait a long time for the attendant to bring Syrup. I ordered the Old Timers plate. It came with a bowl of tepid flavorless greasy flour that was supposed to be gravy. Although we were there at 0730 A.M. the biscuits were already stale and hard. The eggs were flavorless. I ordered bacon extra crispy. I even asked our stewar...Waitress if it would come out extra crispy and she assured me it would. It came out translucent and floppy. To her credit, she did redo it and it was the only good point of the meal. My wife wanted some apple butter for one of my biscuits, but we had seen on the menu that Delta...Cracker Barrel was now charging $.50 for a spoonful of it. We weren't offered coffee refills until we started to get up. I accepted the refill but she never brought the creamer that we asked for so we eventually left it on the table. All in all it was a disappointing meal. I wish they had an option to add flavor, I'd have paid the...
