Going to Waffle House at 3:00 in the morning my expectations were low, but this has by far been one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any restaurant. When my partner and I entered the restaurant was practically empty, and there were dirty dishes along much of the counter, and in several booths.
The waitress brought us our drinks, and we requested a couple minutes to figure out what food we would like to order. Instead of returning to take our order, she engaged in conversation with the only other customer in the establishment (who had already completed his meal). Over 10 minutes passed and we wondered if she would return to take our order, however we decided to give her more time, as we’re not confrontational people, and had some time to spare. However another 10 minutes passed and we were becoming incredibly impatient, aggravated, and hungry… Just in time for them to finish their conversation, and for the other customer to go along their way.
It was at this time that new customers entered, and the waitress tells them “I’ll be with you in a second” and disappears into the back of the restaurant, along with the other crew members. We decided then to just get up and leave, and that our wasted time more than paid for our drinks. Read moreBy far the worst service we have ever received. It took the waitress ten minutes to even come say hello after we were seated. Had they been crazy busy, it would be more understandable, but there was one guy sitting at the front, along with two tables aside from us. When she finally took our drink order, it took her AT LEAST another ten minutes to bring us our drinks. When she brought our silverware, she plopped 4 forks and knives in the center of the table, right before she brought us our food. Granted, the food was good, but the service was so terrible that it doesn't even matter. Not once did she check our drinks or ask if we needed anything. She never brought us our ticket. I had to chase her down, to which she told me she didn't have it ready yet and that she would bring it when she was. Another fifteen minutes goes by and I am pretty upset. At that point, everyone is watching us. We were a two party table. She didn't put it on seperate tickets. I can't believe you guys have someone like that working for you. I'll never come back. You got a hundred bucks from us last night, but I was sure to pick her tip up off the table after paying for the entire meal. I WISH I could...
Read morePoor poor service! I’m not sure if the waitress was on something or had partied hard the night before or just couldn’t get it together. We never did get all of our food after at least 4 times being asked what we needed, food sat untouched for 30 minutes waiting on the rest so we could eat and still never got it not to mention empty drinks. The waitress then had the nerve to bring the check, STILL not having fulfilled the order and 2 in our party of 4 had not touched our plates that again, had been setting in front of us for 30 minutes at this point, and said “you all have a good day, the manager took 20% off”. Really??? And the icing on the cake.... We asked to see this manager and the waitress was gone 30 seconds, and came back and said “she said to just forget about it, she’s too busy”. Totally unacceptable. Typically don’t have problems at Waffle House but after this experience, I’m not sure we’ll visit one again and definitely not this one in Boone’s Creek.
