Scramblers — Restaurant in Johnston

A little hesitant to post my review due to the owners behavior, but it won't stop me. We dine at many breakfast restaurants across Northern RI looking for the best ones, and unfortunately Scramblers wasn't my favorite. The price was great, service and waitresses are very friendly, but the food had some left to be desired. Home fries could be fried longer for a crisper exterior, and seasoned a little more heavily for more flavor. Eggs were tasty bit I did unfortunately get some shell in mine. Bacon was good, I ordered ham as well but received sausage instead - no problem, sausage was fine as well. Pancakes were fluffy but served with cold, unspreadable butter (pancake wasn't hot enough to melt it either). Overall fine, just nothing much stand out about it when there are so many breakfast options in RI. I'm also weary of any restaurant that has fruit flies - big red flag for those who know!

EDITED: Changing my review to a 1 star from 3 for the owners response. He clearly is out of his mind, and has no idea who I am, when I ate, or what I ate. This guy has lost his mind. I didn't even eat half of my plate, I did order pancakes, and I explicitly said I didn't mind that the waitress made a mistake. If you can't handle criticism, DONT RUN A RESTAURANT! This place was dead on a SUNDAY MORNING...

food is a 5/10, Got a big breakfast for $15.97 and none of the food was seasoned, food was very bland home fries had a pinch of seasoning and taste like nothing but dry tasteless potato bites, the eggs were bland with no flavor not even a little pepper was on them, the sausage were undercooked and had no type of sear on them, the only thing good without a complaint was the french toast , overall for the prices you'll be better off going somewhere else and get more for your money because 2 sausage , 2 bacons, eggs, and home fries that were dry and unseasoned wasn’t worth it.

No I actually awe as what would Gordon Ramsey call it? tasteless and bland food you serve! You clearly don't know how to season because there was no taste of it at all. As a business owner if you can't accept a review that a person didn't care for the food then you should take your paper tissue feelings into another career field. I decided to come here for breakfast this morning after work. They were the closest to work so I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say I was quite happy with this place. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and quick to take your order and get drinks. Everything came out quickly and overall the meal was great. I ordered 2 eggs, sausage, toast and bacon. The sausage was not as flavorful as I would like but the rest were cooked perfectly. This meal definitely hit the spot after a long night at work. For 10 bucks, this was a good choice for breakfast. Scrambled 2 has a nice atmosphere with an old school diner feel and 80s music playing in the background. While not the best breakfast in town it will fill you up for cheap and I have to say it's nice to find a place that can make toast and eggs just the way I like them. I'm certainly planning to come back again sometime...
