I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this bakery! I have celiacs which is hard when you are completely in love with local bakeries and baked goods! Anytime I hear of a gluten free bakery I get pretty excited. Yesterday I was finally in the area and able to stop in and try Three Wishes Bakery out, and I was not disappointed! Brian was running the place solo at the time, I had called in advance that day and asked to have a few items set aside since I knew I would be arriving closer to closing time. Brian kindly put those aside for me and they were there waiting when I arrived! He filled the cannoli when I picked them up, and it was heavenly! I devoured it soon after leaving the shop. Perfection! They had so many goodies to offer it was hard to choose. We tried a variety and everything was wonderful. The jelly filled donut, coffee roll, pumpkin cupcake, pumpkin roll, eclair, everything we tried was great and I could eat it all! That would have been deserving enough of a great review, but as we were leaving Brian also gave us a bag of churros free of charge! It was such a kind gesture and much appreciated by the whole family. I have not had fried donuts or churros since being diagnosed 7 years ago. Thank you so much for providing a safe and...
Read moreThree Wishes gets it right, I purchased some chocolate chip cookies from this place a few days ago and am impressed. They are more cookie than chip, about a quarter inch thick, but have a wonderful flavor and texture combination. Chewy and soft, it makes me what to try their other chocolate and cookie combinations inspired by a cookie brand you'd see in supermarkets.
What I like about Three Wishes is that you can have more than just three wishes fulfilled here. There are so many gluten free baked goods available, from cupcakes to cinnamon buns, you'll get your fixings soothed. One quick note, this is specifically a bakery, they do not serve coffee here, though there may be some available next door.
Be cautious on this road, though. Three Wishes is the kind of place where I can say I got rear-ended by a car as I was turning left to get some gluten-free donuts. And I did. Were the donuts worth it? Yes. Was the drama around the rear-ending worth it? Much less so. But such is life.
Nothing to remark on sustainable business practices. But this place does come highly recommended if you have a...
Read moreWe stopped by here on our way to Cape Cod in the hopes of finding some treats and GF lobster rolls for the week and it was like hitting the lottery.
What brought us here was my wife wanting a gluten free donut which are hard to come by. Not only did Three Wishes have them, but they weren't the typical cake format, these looked like a traditional fried donut and the fillings (raspberry and blueberry) tasted homemade.
We picked up some deep dish pizza slices and the gluten free focaccia tasted like regular focaccia. I asked the owner about it and she smiled and said it took a lot of experimenting to get her flour down for the recipe, I believe it. But the other thing that stood out was the homemade pizza sauce, rich and bursting with flavor like a Chicago deep dish. Unreal.
We also got some brioche buns for our lobster rolls and even 5 days later they were just as soft and buttery as the lobster we put on them.
Seek Three Wishes out, the level of care and love that is put into this food hits you the first bite. Finding small businesses like this are what make road trips...
