Barrio Taqueria & Cocina — Restaurant in Joliet

It's a Saturday night and I decided I wanted to doordash something good and I was scrolling through my options and I came across this resturant. I was hesitant however I'm like "you know lets try something new" so I did. When I got my food and opened everything I realized nothing looked like the picture, lets get into it. I got the Queso Birria, Nachos, and Birria Egg rolls. and I'm glad I did. The queso birria was fantastic. And it was fat as heck. it was full of meat and cheese and caloric goodness. The meat was so vibrant tasting and delicious . The steak nachos came in a bigger portion than I thought they would however I ate every single one and then I licked the styrofoam takeout container it came in. It was loaded with cheese, jalapenos, sour cream and steak. A recipe for success. Now my legs are shaking and my dog is drooling. Now- Im looking at these 3 containers when I know I only had one more thing to try: the egg rolls. I open the biggest one. God I'm dripping now... these egg rolls are the size of burritos my dog looked at them in excitement. I took a giant bite, throating the birria egg roll. My eyes went to the back of my skull. These. things. were. delicious. I couldn't eat all three but I ate as much as I could- but before that I opened the other two containers, there was this red liquid idk what it was. I normally don’t write reviews but I had to this time around. We ordered food for dinner from this place and it was extremely disappointing and inedible. The rice and beans were spoiled as if they had been sitting out with no temperature control. Beans should not be sour and neither should the rice. The elote also had an off putting taste to it. The quesabirria was soggy. The only part of our order that was even remotely decent were the tacos and that’s a stretch. As a suggestion, please be mindful of what you are serving to your customers. Truthfully the food is pretty good, however the cali burrito is advertised as $14 and per the description includes carne asada, fries and its toppings but I got charged $5 extra for the carne asada. If this is the case it should reflect as $19 not $14. The burrito was good but $46 for two burritos and two drinks… yikes.

Edit: The restaurant did call back and explained that there was a pricing error on their end. Thank you Barrio for taking the time to call us back and offering to make the situation right. Great customer...
