Hamburgerseria — Restaurant in Joliet

Today was my 1st ever time trying this place and while I wanted to love it and give it 5 stars, because the reviews were absolutely amazing, I just can't. To begin my Burger was overdone, I ordered medium rare and received somewhere between medium to well done, And unfortunately did not have the time to wait around to have it remade. It also seemed like my food had been sitting there for a bit (the burger was room temp instead of hot) which is odd since i arrived when i was told to. My biggest complaint however would be that when you're ordering online it allows you to order things that they do not actually serve at their restaurant, for example steak fries. I ordered these fries and paid the additional $2.25 but instead received truffle fries. I hadnt actually planned on buying fries originally but the steak fries were suggested to me as an add on when I ordered my Burger and I decided I'd give them a try.Thankfully I checked my bag before leaving so that they could be switched out, i am not a fan of truffle, but was informed that they actually no longer sell steak fries. The hostess was very kind and switched them out for regular fries, however I do believe the prices are different, and it is a little frustrating to be able to order something that you cannot actually receive. Obviously this is not the hostesses fault so they did as much as they could understandably do however whoever is in charge of the website I would suggest updating it. Maybe if I decide to go ahead and try them again I'll eat in restaurant but that decision is still up in the air since my 1st visit/impression wasn't...

This place was a real treat! The outside is unassuming but once inside seeing the place decorated for the holidays was great.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere was on point it had retro vibes from the wall to classic music playing.

The menu: The menu was beautifully simple. There were enough items to give a wide selection without feeling overwhelmed. With the titular hamburgers being the star of the show I was eager to give this place's namesake a try. I ordered the cheeseburger and my girlfriend got the hamburger we shared the sampler for an appetizer.

The staff: Once sat we met our amazing server Anne she started as a stranger but we left closer than friends. She was prompt efficient and made every bite taste just a little bit better with her presence. Anne was phenomenal and deserves a pay raise.

The food: Our appetizer was great. Warm soft quesadilla, soft chicken Tenders, and cheese sticks (we opt for more cheese sticks rather than the jalepeno poppers) Everything was cooked to perfection and arrived quickly.

Our burgers were cooked to perfection (they asked how you wanted them cooked) the ground beef tasted fresh and hand pattied. The buns were soft and fresh.

The fries were on some five guys level portions. I was grosely unprepared for how much fries comes with a basket. It was enough for us to share and then still have some to go home with.

The prices: The prices were fair and the portions plenty.

The food was of high quality and extremely tasty, and you also get a decent amount of food for the price. It was exceptionally clean inside, with a very comfortable, family atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and the service could not have been any better! I really liked the fact that all of the servers worked together as a team to make sure everyone in the restaurant had what they needed, and kept up on checking to make sure everything was okay. Unlike most restraunts where the servers only take care of the customers sitting in their assigned sections only. We even had the owner come up to our table to make sure we were being taken care of properly, and to see if we were satisfied with everything. She could not have been any sweeter, and you don't see that too much anymore these days, where an owner or manager actually takes the time to make sure their customers are happy so that they are sure to come back again. If I had to say one negative thing I think that it would be that the fries could have come to the table a little warmer, but all in all, this is definitely a place I would recommend to all of my family and friends, and we will surely be back...
