Lets start out by saying my disappointment at your restaurant started on August 1,2021. My friend and I came for a early dinner. We were seated right away. Someone brought us chips and salsa. We waited and waited ( 40 minutes) for someone to take our drink and food orders , no one came. When we saw another party who was just been seated had waitress take their drink orders . That prompted us to get up and leave , I expressed my displeasure to staff before leaving . My girl friend received a call from Armando, the manager on duty, that afternoon to accept his apologies for the substandard service that we received. He voiced his concern on receiving a bad restaurant review. He invited us back and said he would accommodate us with a "discount" on our next visit. We took Armando up on his offer this past Saturday afternoon. We told him who we were and he remembered us. We were seated outside on the patio when we received our chips and salsa, Soon after a waitress took our drink orders and our dinner orders. Service was great, however, when I got the bill there was no discount of any kind that was promised. I went to the front of the restaurant to ask for Armando a lady told us that he was gone. I don't know how La Mex trains their managers on customer service, there is definitely issues with communications with their staff. Armando should have handled this way. I was expecting him to come to our table and ask us how our service was. Ask us how a meal was, then tell us what he was going to discount on our meal and drinks. He dropped the ball totally! A wise man told me long ago" feedback Is gift" Merry Christmas La Mex or should I say...

I had previously heard great things, so I thought I'd check this place out. Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately with a cool mexican restaurant ambiance and seemingly nice decor. The host sat us immediately. We were greeted immediately by our server and received our queso, chips, and drinks very quickly. The queso was good, chips weren't bad, but were nothing different than store bought tortilla chips. The food came out quickly as well. The steak in the chimichange was chewy, and the chicken was rubbery. The outside tortilla was burnt but cleverly covered with the sauce on top. The rice was clumpy and dry. My wife got a shrimp dish of some sort. She seemed to enjoy the shrimp itself, but not the rice/beans. Our server never came back for beverage refills or more chips, none the less to check on us. She was, however, standing at the host stand, talking almost our entire meal. We eventually flagged down another gentleman that kindly got us the refills and pre-bussed outlr table. After waiting about 20 minutes for our check and no sign of our server again, the nice gentleman came and flagged her down for us. We paid and left. We didn't say anything about the food, as it was our risk for trying a new place. This food seemed like it was standard to the restaurant rather than a special scenario, so there was no sense in complaining. Now we know and we won't be back. Don't look too closely at the booths, walls, or tables while you sit and wait......

When me and my daughter first arrived at the restaurant the outside looked promising. Once we stepped inside it went downhill fast from there. The lighting in the place is very bad. It was so bad we had to use the flash on our phone to read the menu. We got the usual chips and salsa. Nothing special about them. Salsa tasted like cheap tomato sauce from the can. The waitress that took our order and brought our food had no mask this is in the middle of a mask mandate 11/21. To make things worse no one except one person had on a mask that worked there. When I asked why she didn’t have one on she simply replied “ oh it’s our decision to wear it or not. “ wow! Once we received our food we had to get up and ask for salsa. You know the traditional rojo or verde. The head hosted gave me so much attitude and scoffed like he couldn’t believe I had bothered him all while rolling his eyes and head. Then he tells me “oh you do t have any salsa left from your chips?” At this point I just wanted to eat and leave. The enchiladas were medium warm. I ordered the cheese which was not melted and thick still. Everything had a bland taste. The guacamole was bland and needed salt even my 10 year old daughter beat me to the punch. This is by far one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. I could’ve done better at home. Will never waste my money at this hole in...

After being seated, I was served a basket of chips and a very small cup of salsa. When my waiter arrived, I asked for a bowl of salsa like the one the queso comes in and he refused and he returned with another small cup that was also only half full. I ordered a burrito and the jalapeño queso dip and asked about getting a larger salsa, he said he'd have to charge me 6 dollars for the salsa, because they don't allow you to have much. Fine, I agree and he brings a bowl and the queso which was 8.50.. I ask for more chips, and he tells me that will be another 6.00.. My complete dining experience was 42 bucks and change for a burrito and a coke, a cheese dip and chips and salsa.. For 1 person.. and that's before a tip. Charging 9 bucks for a large cheese dip and NOT PROVIDING CHIPS TO GO WITH IT is a huge issue.. I have to pay for both? So my dip and chips was actually 15 bucks.. smh.. On a side note, the atmosphere was pretty relaxing, typical music on the speakers, dim lighting, it was nice! And my burrito was EXCELLENT! It's just really sad and disappointing that the good is overshadowed by the extreme lack of customer service. You can't even provide chips when a customer PAYS extra for more salsa or queso?? C'mon..
