China Cook — Restaurant in Joliet

Was a longtime customer, good food, good service. Then they took my money and didn't give it back. I made an order a few weeks ago and then they asked me for my card info again because "the first one didn't go through". So unfortunately I did and it went through and I got my food. Couple days later I checked my bank account and noticed I was charged twice and so I called and they explained they had a "bad register" and wanted my bank statement to be sure. Seriously why would I lie? So manager said he would call his bank and that in a few days it would "cancel out". Well the weekend passes and it never did. I checked my app again and sent the proof that I was charged twice the same date. Both charges went through and they offered to wire me the refund. Surprise, I never got my money back, waited ANOTHER 2-3 days and by that time it had already been a week and a half I think. That was ridiculous and really shady of them. Never again. And I tried being nice...

I ordered food, got it home and found an extremely long, reddish hair in my food. It was stuck in my rice. I called to let them know. I was told to return the full order in order to be refunded. I was also told to hurry up because they closed at 9. It was 8:15ishpm at the time. In my way to the restaurant she calls (8:33pm) and asks if I’m almost there because they want to close up for the evening. I assured her that I was a few minutes away and she said for me to just throw the food away and come the next day and she would refund me. Again, I assured her that I’d be there shortly. When I brought the food back and showed them the hair that was intertwined in my rice, there was a woman cooking with the same color hair and no hair net. Her hair wasn’t even pulled back. I was given a refund and a coupon for a “100% discount” on my next order. However, I’m 100% sure I won’t...

Been here a total of 5 times...first two times food was great tasty but portion s were rather small for price. The three other times, well each time got worse. This time yesterday is the last straw. The beef fried rice I ordered looked like they didnt make enough and they just half mixed in some white rice, it looked just as bad as it tasted. The egg foo young consistently had pieces of egg shell in it that I kept crunching on...horrible. My wife and my kids kept kept finding hair in the bourbon chicken and the general sou chicken. I dont know what the heck happened but I'm done with this place. Plus the portions were small a large is a small at other restaurants. Go at your own risk... you can only blame yourself when you...
