The food is worth 4.5(would of gave them 5) stars, but they lose a half star for the wait staff. They're polite for the most part, but you have to repeat yourself NUMEROUS times. Like my bf asked for a fountain drink and we were over half done eating (had finished appetizers and was half way through our meal) and I had to repeat myself 3x to finally get one. Originally she told us the bottle was only 15¢ more than the fountain, which was not working when we visited, at least it's what she claimed as everyone else had glasses of soda. Then he got a second not knowing they were in fact $1.25 MORE THAN a fountain drink.(2.75 + 1.25 more!) Were charged $4.00 for each bottle. And x2. If they don't have fountain drinks then they could of at least honored refills and honored the price she quoted us. No big deal, but it's not what she said it was. The steak meal was quite good even though it was overcooked(bien cocido-well done) when he asked for medium (medio). But it took so long to get the first plate, we were not going to wait on a second. Also the waitresses English was very poor. So I had to use the little bit of Spanish I remember. And the table next to us helped out as they spoke both perfect English and Spanish and was some of the nicest people you could ask to sit next to when you're touching LITERALLY BACK TO BACK, as the place is very, very tight and small. The family dining next to us gets 5 stars though. Hah. Overall, the meals were worth the price, but they need to learn to cook to order. And the waitresses need to learn better English if they're going to serve both English and Spanish speaking. Which there was about 20% English speaking people and they had a difficult time trying to communicate with the staff. Had I not known SOME Spanish and our table neighbors didn't help us, I'm sure we would not have enjoyed ourselves as much. Bring Google translator if nothing else, because the food is good, if you're willing to wait a...

The food is really good, but you really have to inquire about any extra charges. We were told a bottle of soda way only fifteen cents more than a can and so we go it, was a dollar more. No big deal. . Then we got charged over a buck again for a credit card use. We were not told and we even informed them it was our first visit. I suggest take out as people had to wait for tables to be open. We sat at a dirty table by mistake and had to ask for it to be wiped down. Service is quite slow and the waitress kept forgetting things we asked for...ie... Another soda, which took fifteen+ minutes and the bill took about 18 minutes after we asked for it because she had forgotten. The food is quite good, but service needs improved significantly. Then we decided we wanted to try their fried Ice cream and they informed us around 830pm I believe that they weren't making any more that late. They didn't close til 11pm. The place is pretty small for the amount of tables they put in there. A nice family sat behind us and I kept getting bumped because they tables are so close. I'm disabled. Getting up in close quarters on crutches was not easy either. I'll go back, but maybe on a less busy night or for take out. Definitely not Friday...

After a quick Yelp search for Mexican food near Crest Hill, it revealed Primo's.

We found the food was delicious, we just felt out of place. We were the only Gringos in there on a busy Monday lunch crowd. The waitress wasn't too personable, she dropped off the menus and was back a minute later to take our order, we hadn't even opened it yet. She seemed upset and also overwhelmed. There was several tables that were stacked with dirty plates when we arrived and we were forced to sit at the community table, which wasn't a big deal.

They have daily specials as well as weekday specials. I went with the number 7, two chicken enchiladas verde with beans and rice. I really like the flavor of the horchata too. Wasn't impressed with the salsa but the chips were good. Sis enjoyed her sopes. We both commented how fresh and tasty the chicken was, we also loved the rice.

It doesn't appear they bring the bill to your table, you just get up and walk up to the register, when you're ready to leave. A strong 4.5 star. I will look forward to another visit. $1...

First of all the service and the atmosphere was excellent but the food was horrible. I had ordered a michelada Loca, and all I tasted was black pepper. Second, the jalapenos they brought to the table, the carrots were rock hard. I thought my teeth were going to fall out. Also, the green salsa that was brought to the table tasted spoiled. I ordered a carne en su jugo did not have much flavor the avocado that came with it at first look fine but once I threw it in my soup I noticed that it was black at the bottom overpowering the flavor of the soup. Also, the radishes that came on the side look like they we're starting to spoil. I was really hoping this place was good, but it was a major disappointment.

Winter if you weeks ago excellent service excellent food great environment. One of the biggest burritos I ever got in my life. Horchata has a different taste to it but it's Unique good and delicious so I highly recommend bring your stretchy pants for this one a great value for the money. Parking lot is not the best with some big potholes but other than that it's awesome there is a bar located in there on one side and then a dining in the Middle with a separate room that is very large with many heaters in it. In the summer they have it open so we could eat outside. Highly recommended
