Public Service Announcement – Please Read Before Dining Here
If you care about your health and safety, I strongly advise against eating at Aroma of India in Junction City.
I have already submitted a detailed report of repeated and serious health code violations to Lane County Health & Human Services, but have received no response. Because of this, I feel it’s important to warn the public directly.
What I personally witnessed includes: • Raw chicken left unrefrigerated for hours in an 80°F+ kitchen. • Chicken marinating directly on the kitchen floor. • Cooked chicken left out on counters to cool with no refrigeration or monitoring. • Cross-contamination risks (raw and cooked food stored together). • Employees taking food handler certification tests on behalf of others. • Triple sink misuse, including raw poultry soaking where dishes are washed. • Ants and even a live cockroach in the dry storage area. • Produce and dry goods stored directly on dirty floors. • General lack of cleanliness and sanitation.
These are not isolated incidents, but ongoing unsafe practices that directly violate Oregon Food Sanitation Rules. This is not a matter of opinion—it’s about public health.
Until this restaurant undergoes a full inspection and corrective measures are taken, I cannot recommend eating here. Please protect yourself and your family.
Edit: here of some photos attached since the owner wants to pretend they aren’t violating any health codes. What super...

On my last visit, I called in an order and was told it would be ready in about 25 minutes. I arrived around 30 minutes later, but still ended up waiting an additional 40 minutes after that — nearly an hour total. It was frustrating, but I stayed calm.
Unfortunately, when I got home, the Lamb Biryani had a strong soapy taste (not to mention the spoiled Raita that I threw out), and I’ve never had a more bland dish than that Goat Vindaloo.
I haven’t been back since, but I may give it another try in the future and will update this review if the...

After looking at how the owner responds to the other negative reviews I am not going to be returning to this place. It seems the quality of the food and service has taken a nose dive and all the owner does is make...
