Japanese Poke & Sushi Restaurant — Restaurant in Junction City

Ordered: 2 Mongolian beef, combination poke bowl, egg drop soup (medium) and I forgot the name of the plátanos

Short: amazing food and service. Very attentive workers, and clean environment. Mongolian beef, egg drop soup 10/10. Poke bowl 9/10, a little sweet for me but that is personal preference. Plátanos estaban pitones (some where not all the way ripe) but only a few where like that 8.5/10. 1 Mongolian beef is a good serving for 1.5 people, and poke bowl honestly I think can be shared between two people if you wanted to get that and something else. Over all going to return for sure!

Extra: Mongolian beef a little sweet, savory, veggies are cooked perfectly, and the meat is tender. It came with rice underneath and a side sauce that was buttery and a little tangy for dipping. Poke bowl was packed and I honestly loved it. The portions were great. It’s hard to get a good egg drop soup out here and this is one I will be returning to time and time again. Not overly eggy, not slimy, great flavor. It’s also hard to get good poke out here, coming from Cali, and this is definitely good. I’m just hear to say I went and tried the Japanese Poke place for lunch today because of the reviews getting left on here and idk what’s wrong with some of y’all’s taste buds lol. I’d of rather had Panda Express atleast it has flavor and my honey walnut shrimp never disappoints. 😅 $45 for some shrimp fried rice (which honestly was the best part) and then I got the house special with shrimp, chicken, and beef which was terrible the sauce had no flavor and was bland. The chicken seemed barely cooked and mushy. And the beef was awful. I also got the kung pao beef which the flavor was good but again the beef just terrible like chewy like it needed cooked more and was cooked in boiling water maybe because idk how else they cook it to get it like that it definitely couldn’t have been cooked in a pan. The crab ragoons were free for ordering over $35 and those I’m sure had no crab and was all cream cheese. Just my house holds opinion. It was not good as most said. Definitely mediocre. Amazing!! The staff is always welcoming and kind!! They even give out complimentary bottled water!!

I’ve been a DoorDash deliverer for this restaurant several times, and the bags are always heavy!

The husband and I finally tried it tonight, and they did not disappoint!! GENEROUS PORTIONS, like we both ordered a meal and honestly I think we will be able to get three meal all together out of each individual meal!

Crab Rangoon is ON POINT DELICIOUS!!!

Sweet and sour chicken and general tso were both very good!!

We also had the fried dumplings and they were the best I’ve ever had!! :))
