Ogden’s Backyard Bar-B-Que — Restaurant in Ogden

Restaurant is simple and clean inside. Lady who served us was very nice. That's where the good part ends. Probably the worst brisket, pulled pork and sausage link I've ever had. I ordered the sampler platter. Large amount of meat for sure....but no flavor. Ribs were the only ok part of the meal. Chicken was very bland, no seasoning. Rib tips were black and burnt. Brisket was probably cooked over 3 days ago and reheated...meat was tasting very off. The worse was the pulled pork.... It tasted rancid...like old meat. The sausage link was a Red Hot's pickled link that you find in your corner store. Baked beans were obviously from a can and smoked in the smoker for a few hours. I've been to many, many...... restaurants all over the USA and all over the world.... I enjoy visiting local owned Mom and Pop spots to eat. This is on the bottom of my list and it's a shame. I think they really need to focus on providing FRESH food over anything else... even if it costs more money. I hope they find their way to make delicious food or just call it quits and cut their losses with the business. Sorry...it's bummer to make a review like this but you all need to know about...

Did not enjoy this place at all ordered a half rack of ribs and macaroni the food is not fresh and gets reheated in the microwave macaroni had no taste at all and the rib meat was hard to get off with more fat than meat and plastic silverware that bends when u try to use it...I eat alot of bbq and this for me is just not it the ladie did give me a portion of the money back but didnt like me saying what was wrong even told me they have 4.7 stars on google i could go look as if my personal experience was not accurate based on the other reviewers im not able to recommend eating here as the experience was not up to par with an enjoyable meal or experience....I didnt even eat 1 rib and when takin back to the counter u ate right off of the plate started ripping meat off the bone with ur bare hands telling me what i was saying was wrong the picture is exactly what the meal i took to the counter looked like sorry to say you lied in your reply and microwave leftovers but we paid...

Quite possibly the best bbq in junction city, even though they’re in OGDEN! We heard about Ogdens Backyard BBQ from a friend who was helping us pack our u-haul. We’re PCSing and I’m bummed that we learned about this place the night before we leave! HIGHLY recommend. Their sweet tea is not too sweet, but sweet enough to be sweet tea. The Mac and cheese has a cheesy smoky flavor that I have never experienced anywhere else! The greens are mouth watering and flavorful. Just the right amount of spice and seasonings. I enjoyed the smoked brisket sammich and mixed their bbq sauces together (one was mustard based and the other tomato based) -both were scrumptious. I LOVE baked beans, and theirs made me fall in love all over again. For two of us to eat with our drinks we spend about $27. We won’t be able to eat here again until we come back to visit our family and friends so we hope anyone reading this will go and enjoy their BBQ as much...
