Auke Bay Pizza Company — Restaurant in Juneau

I was so excited by all the marvelous reviews and decided to give this place a try. I love the whole restaurant in a gas station thing, and was met with a friendly reception. As we tasted the pizza, we all looked oddly at one another; it was so familiar! Ultimately, we all placed it as a dead ringer for Pizza Hut. The sauce, the thick crust, the cheese. It brought back waves of nostalgia for me as the Hut had been a huge part of my childhood. Overall, probably the second best pizza in a brick and mortar in Juneau...

This old building has so much of a story to tell, and the latest chapter is definitely amazing. The whole place has been remodeled and the menu is new. The staff seem to really care about customers from the liquor counter to the checkout with a sandwich in hand everyone was very generous even while being busy. Edit: Dropped it down to 4 stars- called thursday (12/29) to get a small, personal pizza at 6:30. Though it says they close at 7, and it doesn't mentioning cutting off orders early, the dude working said he was done makin food. Major bummer.
