I’d leave a negative star review if I could. The valet parking is nice but doesn’t compensate for the horrible 2 hours of disrespect and horrible customer service we had to endure.
To the rude man with dreads who scared my children by opening the back door and yelling-SHAME ON YOU! When I asked him not to yell so loud please bc he was going to further scare my baby who had just woken up he got snotty at me telling me I shouldn’t be there with a baby bc of the live band. I ignored his comments and then he made a nasty comment about how he’s not moving my Jeep.
To the manager who apologized for that man after I complained to him and promised to seat us as soon as possible…. Your establishment is the WORST and most poorly managed I’ve been to in my three years I’ve lived in Florida. We were told 1 hour and 15 minutes and after waiting almost two hours, we checked in to see how much longer the wait would be. The ILL mannered blonde teenage girl from SF high school was super snotty in telling my husband and I how they’d been calling us for our table (5 times) yet we had no missed calls. She didn’t even apologize when another teenager working with her told her we hadn't been called, they had called the party after us on the list. We did have a large party ( 2 adults, our 5 teenagers and our baby) but all that means is we’re gonna spend money… a LOT of money.
After that interaction we had had our fill of this awful FIRST AND LAST experience of this horrid place and we went to get our Jeeps. The man that gave my husband the keys was angry we didn’t tip them and aggressively stated that they work off tips. My husband told him we hadn’t even been seated let alone ate there and that ridiculous man told him it wasn’t his problem and it wasn’t fair they weren’t getting tipped. The awful man with the dreads (the one that scared my children the minute we got there) ran after us as we were leaving screaming at the idiot who wanted a tip, to stop us. What was he going to do? Force a tip from us? lol seriously…. This place is awful. I wouldn’t ever go again, let alone recommend anyone to this place.
We ended up going to U-Tiki which we go to every other and even though they had an hour and a half wait, they seated us IMMEDIATELY due to how awful we were treated at Tiki 52. Our meal was perfect, our server Jason was amazing and we had a wonderful time at U-TIKI. Thank goodness for amazing restaurants like U-Tiki to balance out crappy ones...
Read moreThis was our first time here and arriving by boat for a quick bite on this beautiful day.
Docking the boat was easy and simple, plenty of space for our boat. We then walked right up to the restaurants outside seating area next to the bar.
The place was actually quite crowded when we arrived around 2pm but we found an open table no problem on this Friday afternoon.
Our waitress was very friendly and outgoing as was the other staff that brought our food and cleared things away almost immediately after we were finished with them which was nice.
Our Meals:
I ordered the Sundried tomato and grilled Chicken breast Panini with Provolone cheese served with a side of ruffled potato chips and a dill pickle spear. I absolutely enjoyed it very much!
My boyfriend had the Maui soft Tacos. There were 3 very nice size pieces of the lightly blackened Maui served in a soft tortilla with thier housemade slaw and topped with Avocado Citrus drizzle. However, the drizzle was more like a tablespoon full on each taco, however he enjoy it. His lunch was also accompanied with ruffled potato chips and a dill pickle spear.
The Restroom pass/fail: I did use the ladies room while having lunch here. It was very clean and had very bright and colorful painted murals all over the walls. Along with a beautiful drift wood, high gloss framed mirror that was very unique. However, it was very high and I had to stand on my tippy toes to try and see anything from my chin down and I am not a short woman at all! So this was a flaw in placement because I know most woman are shorter than me so I don't know how they could even see? I even mentioned that to my boyfriend when I came back to the table I found it so confusing.
Tiki 52 has a large bar outside and then the seating available for food you have your choice of open air seating or covered seating to choose from.
They do have live music as I saw advertised on banners around the restaurant but not while we were there on this early Friday afternoon.
If you have your dogs with you they too are welcome as I saw a beautiful Labrador near us and a couple little dogs...
Read moreTiki52 is an awesome place to lay back, relax and take in the passing boats while having a meal. But there were a few things that made our experience a bit unnerving. When you pull into their parking lot, which is only one way, you don't find out that it is a valley only until you have been in line for a while. If you like to self park, there is a large parking lot on the other side of the restaurant. After parking on the other side and walking all the way down the highway to the restaurant, someone had told us that there is a path from the restaurant that leads to the parking lot. There is no sign. The next disappointment, was that our waitress took so long to acknowledge us when she did she had told us that many people sat down at one time. Although there were multiple waitresses walking around and serving tables. And as you can see in the photo it wasn't that busy. For the rest of the evening she only came to our table twice so we had to ask another waitress to help us with placing our appetizers, which we never got but were charged for. And thirdly, the music was so entirely loud that you had to yell at the person sitting next to you. The other members of our party could not hear the conversation. I might add we were sitting quite a distance from the speakers. As far as the food goes, the salads we're fine. Nothing great. The hamburger what's very greasy that half of the bun was wet with grease, unedible. We also ordered the mahi dinner plate which was fine too. I don't think this will be a restaurant that we will be coming back to with friends. We left...
