When we arrived we decided to sit outside and enjoy the fresh morning. As we sat there i noticed the table was dirty and had to use the napkins and water i had ordered to wipe down the table so we do not have to eat on a table full of dirt I ordered the chilaqueles with salsa roja, they were ok. My friend ordered the Jurupa's platter and was unable to enjoy his breakfast due to excessive salt on the hash browns and he had to eat his french toast to get rid of the salty mouth and was unable to eat the rest of his plate. We didnt say anything and continued our breakfast and when the waitress who was polite asked how everything was he told her about the salty hashbrowns. When she came back out she said yes they were salty and she started to give us an explanation and that the manager put a $2.40 discount. and my friend began to get upset and asked for the manager to come out, we waited there for quite a few minutes and when he finally came out my friend let him know that he felt being the manager and hearing an upset customer he could have came out and addressed the situation himself and could have offered to fix it, not just send the message through the waitress especially since the restaurant wasnt even halfway full. My friend had to give him examples of how to fix the situation to make sure the customer feels like they want to come back, my friend let him know as a manager he should be telling us not us telling him, he gave us 50% off that one plate. Come to find out the owner was inside talking to other guests. As an owner, they should have been aware of the situation and came out themselves or with the manager to address the issue and could have said, pleaee return so we can correct this and take care of you on your next visit. Nothing of that happened. The owner and manager need to learn to address customer...
Read moreUpdate 4/26/25: we went back to try again. Our experience was mediocore. I had the chorizo plate. I didn't much care for the chorizo, the flavor was a bit different. Although the beans were good, they needed more flavoring. And the potatoes were cooked nicely, but hardly had any spices. Our waitress was not the best - maybe she's new. One of the other waitresses was helping us at one point. Overall, I'm going to stick with my average rating. I'm not sure how it's receiving 5 star reviews. It's not a "knock your socks off" kind of place. It's good for a quick meal with decent food.
Jurupa' Cafe is a nice spot for a quick home cooked breakfast. It's hard not to compare it to Rodeo Cafe since it was one of our favorite spots. It seems like they are still getting situated. The restaurant is basically a blank slate as far as decor. The food looked and tasted fresh. They could use some work on their salsa situation. It was unusual to receive it in a bottle and was lacking in flavor. I will be going back to try the chorizo breakfast (one of my Rodeo favs). Overall, a decent...
Read moreI went on their grand opening after work. It was so fun. We waited about ten minutes to be seated inside Which wasn't bad at all since they were so busy. One had the option to be seated outdoors or inside. My daughter wanted to go inside. The staff was happy. That made me happy to see everyone enjoying their work, smiling, laughing with customers as well with each other. Our waitress was very kind. I loved how family friendly it is. They had cute things for my daughter to keep busy and excited. Now, lets get to the food. It was delicious and healthy. I choose the veggie omelet with the country potato's. It was so good and didn't feel guilty about enjoying a good meal (and it didn't hurt my gallbladder 😉 ). My daughter got pancake and eggs. It was a big plate. We took it home some leftovers. I also ordered some food to go; which my husband enjoyed. I can't wait to go back and take my whole family. Thank you to the new owners...
