Really bummed about my experience here as I was very excited to try it! We arrived 15minutes before 3pm and were ready to order immediately as we knew lunch would be ending soon. We tried to get a servers attention, but no one would come (many were standing around) someone came at 2:58pm and told us it was after 3 and it was now dinner prices. Luckily, i showed my phone and got lunch prices, but a dirty look. I know this sounds cheap, but it was the principal...they didn't care about the service, just making more money. I am a former server and know people will try to get a deal if they come in at 3:01...but we got there with plenty of time! I was still excited to try the food, but it came and i was so disappointed! I usually am not a picky eater...I like almost everything! This food was bland and not authentic at all!! Taco food trucks are much better. Will not be returning and will let my friends know how much of a bummer this overpriced place is.

My boyfriend and I got sick after eating here too! That has never happened to me...even at Taco Bell. These are not inflammatory remarks either.(I wish) So bummed. Still on the lookout for good Mexican...

Fairly standard Tex Mex fare. There are several of them around town, this one is the closest. Almost everything is smothered in cheese, which is on par for American Mexican food. It's not bad, food is always well prepared and fresh. Complementary chips and salsa are good as well. I've been several times to various locations around town and have never had a bad meal. I've been to regional chains that vary widely between locals, but they are fairly consistent. I got the steak burrito al carbon, which again was ok. Basically just meat and cheese sauce. While the steak was tasty, it didn't look like steak. It was actually grey strips of meat. Rice and beans were good, not out of a can taste. He had the chicken enchiladas, the shredded chicken looked more appealing than my steak. She had the chicken street style tacos. I think the carnitas are my favorite out of the limited options I've previously tried. It was funny to see them struggle with their robot, which they only used for bussing dishes to the kitchen. It's not super expensive given the portion sizes, but he complained when the bill arrived when we only spent an...

Great food with decent attention to appeal to something more than frozen fair...tho, FROZEN FAIR. The flavors were good and the presentation was on par with the local Mexican eatery. Rn that. With a bit more prep and presentation, I think they could nail it a bit higher in scale. I just don't know of its students or business folks that they seek to cater to. Seems more so average folks and they aren't looking to dazzle anyone...tho, I think they are capable. It may just have been the time, as they were not that busy. That said, I would think MAYBE MORE to the work, over less. Food came quickly and was a solid helping. Was don't well, just not EXTRA attention that doesn't take a lot to do. Hence why I feel they aim closer to students and those maybe not tipping a lot. That is usually a give-and-take that starts being noticed as the staff learns the payoff for the investment. Which I get. No knock on them, nor their business. It certainly is a solid and worthy choice for a family to have a good meal at a polite and clean Mexican...

Have been coming to Los Amigos both on Stadium Dr. and Westnedge Ave. since they opened, probably about 17 years ago. For about 16 years we would have great experiences, but quality and service has gone down hill significantly recently. I understand that times are tough because of Covid, but with the frequent shut-downs, restaurants are less busy and you think they would want to make customers satisfied enough to come back with their takeout. In this case a picky eater wanted enchiladas with only cheese. The picture shows what we got. There is a TINY pinch of cheese that is not even melted, inside of a dry tortilla. When we nicely complained and asked to have it remade with more cheese, they refused. The man next to me also said that his entire order was made incorrectly, and that he had always been a regular. Unfortunately after 17 years going to Los Amigos it looks like we will be switching to La Piñata from now on...

The food was good. I ordered the fajita Amigos which had shrimp, steak and chicken. The meat was flavorful. With the meal came with a Mexican salad (pico, lettuce, guacamole and sour cream) and rice. My eating partner had a burrito which had three sauces covered in sections. I also ordered a margarita which was warm even with the ice that they added. The place was busy and packed, it's clear locals enjoy this place. I decided to take a drive to try this place out. Chips and salsa was good. Had a fresh taste to it. Our waitress appeared occupied by others and kept looking away when we were trying to order. In which my eating partner asked for no sour cream in his burrito but sour cream was added. I really like the fajitas. And the amount of food was a huge portion, so you do get your money's worth. I would probably not go out of my way to visit again. I would try it again if I was in town.
