Summer Thyme Café — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

We stopped at the Summer Thyme Cafe for lunch on our way to Lake Michigan. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting with little booths and tables for dining in. The menu has a great variety of salads and sandwiches, so it was hard to decide what to order! I chose the Chicken Pecan salad, and it was delicious. Everything was so fresh; the serving size was generous but not overwhelming. My husband had the Cobb salad, and it was very good too. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The cafe is conveniently located about 0.5 miles from the highway-easy on/easy off. I would definitely recommend this cute little cafe for lunch and look forward to stopping there again when I'm passing through Kalamazoo. PS-the desserts looked amazing! This is a hidden gem. It's a locally owned place with awesome food and service. The owner is on site and always wants to make sure the customers are well satisfied. If something is not on the menu they usually can find a way to make things work. As an example my young daughter doesn't eat meat so they created a vegetarian kid's meal for her that wasn't on the menu. The soups are homemade and a must have with any meal or have a bowl it makes a meal itself. Every dish they make is great. Love the paninis and California Ruben. For dinner the salmon is great. With a little advertising this place would be packed...

My colleague and I tried Summer Thyme for the first time for lunch today and let me just say that the food was simply amazing. The level of personalize service received from the staff truly made us feel welcomed and the timing of our order being delivered to our table was perfect. I ordered 'the signature' and had them add turkey breast - holy smokes! SO GOOD!!! Also, don't forget to add the peanut butter bar for your dessert....I'm just going to leave that comment right there to let it sink in for a bit. :)

I will definitely be back and will recommend this spot to anyone wanting to try someone fresh and delish...
