Junly’s China Hut — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

All the food we ordered are amazing. I am an Indonesian born (Surabaya - East Java to be exact) and lives in Holland. Found this restaurant from my sister who coincidently read from internet, tried their food and recommended us to give a shot. The Indonesian dishes from China Hut are authentic in my opinion. Nasi Goreng Jawa is the handsdown outstanding taste!! It really reminds me of the fried rice I used to eat while I was in college there in Indonesia. Really love the Fried Bananas and Sesame Balls!! Ayam Goreng Kecap and Mee Goreng are fantastic. The China Hut owners, Jun and Lily are Indonesian born, very nice people, very polite, humble and patience. Small restaurant, but you can eat there, mostly people came there for take out too. It's definitely a gem in Kalamazoo area. Cash and cards are accepted. Best fast style Chinese I’ve tried in Kzoo, Kung Pao chicken was good, fresh veggies and not overcooked.

The fried rice really stood out and had more of a Thai or Japanese hibachi style, just wish they filled the other open space with more rice in the combo.

It was that good that I’ll be eating there again today.

I’m not one to write a post about a bad food experience, but tonight was terrible. Poor flavoring, dried out, rationed chicken (mostly all breading and no meat), egg rolls were pure dough with minimal filling, overall, it was all bad.
