Of my many travels I have had great opportunity to visit many breweries across the USA. I can say, beyond any doubts, that I would put this brewery in my top 10. If not top 5. I have been going here since January 2015. The owners and staff all make you feel welcome and it is a great place to relax with some delicious beers, food, pinball, board games, or even the big game on a projector screen.
Now to the meat of the review for those who wish to continue.
Service: Service is only available at the bar currently, so it can get a little crowded and patience can wear thin with some people waiting in line. The downfall is that everyone needs to get up to place an order (unless you sit at the bar). However once you get up to the bar, everyone who I have interacted with has been on top of their game down to menus, talking points, even remembering multiple orders and where they go. Which is quite surprising to me with all the running around in the small area that they have. It's the people the owners bring in that has helped them in many ways. Including making things right for the patrons who have waited for some time. 4/5 stars.
Food: This is where One Well has really outdone themselves. Moderately priced food with a flavor that keeps people coming back. Their ever expanding menu has some interesting dishes that some people may never think about combining. The use on naan bread for the sandwiches also adds to a different texture that you do not find many places. Another point is that they have vegetarian/carnivorous options for everyone. With different friends with different lifestyles I'm sure everyone can find something great on One Well's menu. 6/5 stars.
Decor/Atmosphere/Entertainment: I do like the fact that One well displays local artists work. The pictures always change every few months which breathes in new life into the seating area. Again, everyone is extremely friendly even down to about 99% of the patrons. As for entertainment, just go over to the wall pull down a board game and start playing. Or, put a couple quarters into the pinball machines. Even bring a set of darts. It has more of a lounge style than anything else. The chairs in the seating area remind me a little bit of elementary school, but it adds to the rustic look of the hand made tables and bar(s). As a side note for entertainment: they bring in a masseuse for free massages, a painter for a learn to plaint class, home-brewer events for local home-brewers, collaboration ales with other breweries, dart leagues, board games with the brewers, and many more events on a weekly/monthly basis. 4/5 stars.
Beer: Absolutely Fantastic! One Well's flagship beers are very good at a great price. currently less than 5$ for a pint. The flavor is consistent between batches from what I have tasted so far and they are better than par for the style. A lot of their beers have a cult following. Doughnuts? Peanut Butter? Apricots? Why not? If it is your first time try a flight and try something new. You may like it you may not. The brewers have given me full confidence in their ability to make interestingly delicious beers. 5/5 stars
Overall: 4.5/5 stars. Great business, great attitudes, and great...
Read moreWhatever team is workin' in the kitchen, lord, they know how to throw down. Everything we've ordered here has been off the hook delicious.
The salads, the Mac and cheese, the pizza, the wings! I can recommend everything I've tried here and mean it from my deepest gut. Just fantastic. And it's not one of these joints that blasts the food with salt and calls it a miracle. We're talking seasoning and FLAVOR here, folks.
I can't speak to the beer - I tried the rye red and have stuck to it like glue since I like it so much, and haven't tried anything else. The sips I've had from friends drinks have always been tasty, so do with that what you will.
The vibe is awesome! Large space with plenty of seats for big or small groups. Even when there's a lot of people, it doesn't feel crowded and seats are a decent distance from one another.
If splitting bills makes you anxious, don't sweat it. You scan a QR code and order / pay for what you want on your phone and they bring it to your table. Easy breezy. For beer you do need to go to the bar, though.
As for game options, the sky's the limit. Foosball, a menagerie of pinball machines, guitar hero, DDR, pool tables, dart boards, and a huge shelf of board and card games are at your disposal. There's even some arcade games, a claw machine and a photo booth. The pinball machines run about 75c a pop, and luckily they have a ATM handy if you're low on cash for the quarter machine.
Definitely family friendly but this is a great date night place as well. I've seen people of all ages here. There's a handicap accessible restroom as well. I believe they're building a stage in one of the rooms currently, but don't quote me on that.
The service overall has always been speedy, efficient and cordial. This is really a 10/10 place. They have a lot of cool merch as well. Oh, and there's a ton of seating outside, so enjoy the...
Read moreGiven this place plenty of business and money over the years. We had a party of 9 today around 3:30 in the afternoon. We were sitting outside with everyone and our daughter. We were all having a good time and the place inside and out was maybe 20% full. Ordered drinks and then food. As we had been there a 1/2 hour at least by now and waiting on our food a guy comes up to us asking our daughter for her I.D. Assuming a manager or an owner. I said she's not 21 and drinking sprite. He said you have to leave. Friday and Saturday no one under 21 is allowed due to staffing shortages. Mind you we saw other kids there and there was plenty of staff and not even close to being busy. We said can we finish our beer and eat then leave. The guy was very rude and acted like we committed a crime or something and said no you have to leave now and we can box your food up. He said there is a sign when you come in. When we left the sign was huge with all kinds of stuff on it. Who looks at all that stuff? Most of the time it's just specials and all. It was buried below. This place doesn't value there costumers anymore and they have this we don't care were gonna make our money if your here or not. Everybody in our party was not happy and we all left and went to another establishment that values it's costumers with respect. If the guy would have approached us with some respect and said you can finish your food and drink but then kindly respect our wishes I would have been fine with that but to say you can't finish your drinks or eat your food after the whole party just ponied up a bunch of cash in these tough times is inexcusable...
