TNT Lil Brothers BBQ — Restaurant in Kalamazoo

I come to Kalamazoo from Grand Rapids to handle business on the regular. Last week we were in town and I had the taste for some soul food. Google maps lead me to Little Brothers BBQ and I am so happy they did! My new spot when I'm in K-zoo. I got the large rib tips meal which included one free side. I decided to add an additional side dish for $2.99. My grand total was $13.00 and my meal fed two people with rib tips leftover for later. Worth every penny. Large portions, homemade goodness - you can't go wrong at this spot. Comfort food galore! Every single side dish was PIPING hot. The rib tips were on point! I got them with BBQ sauce, but the sauce wasn't necessary. The BBQ was just as delicious without the sauce for those who prefer sauceless BBQ. I wanted to try her cabbage so bad - but she only makes cabbage on Saturdays 😣😢😭. I went with the greens instead and I will say - they were some of the best greens I ever had in my life! Cooked to absolute perfection with just the right amount of crisp in each stem to let you know they're FRESH greens, NOT canned. I also got the spaghetti which is not just noodles and sauce - REAL spaghetti with plenty of ground hamburger in it and seasoned to perfection. The meal came with a slice of cornbread and that was great as well. We went back inside to compliment the food and she said her green beans were her best side dish and gave a free sample (also generous portion) and they were in fact damn delicious! 😋 I highly recommend this place. So we just moved to the area and I’ve been craving food BBQ. I heard from a ton of people that Lil Bros is the best! Luckily I live a few minutes away and we made our way over. I was silly and forgot to check hours and sadly they were closing up shop end had sold out. I told the woman, Keke, that I heard great things and it smelled amazing and couldn’t wait to become regular customers. She was so kind and invited us to come back another day. We hopped back in the car thrilled to meet her but bummed we missed out. We sat there and searched our phones for more options near by and while we were doing that she knocked on our window and surprised us with the best brisket I’ve ever had and told us that she hoped we could taste the love her family put into it.

I could have cried by the simple act of kindness. We weren’t without options but we definitely were hoping to try the food and I was so touched with that gesture. We loved that it was a family operation and clearly mom and dad had raised an incredible young woman to help run their business. That is how you grow your business and create life long customers. In the past 24 hours I’ve told everyone about that beautiful and thoughtful interaction.

Some of the best ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken that money can buy, paired with a mess of their greens that will have you questioning if greens can be considered "Godly"...then if that isn't enough, you'd better leave just a smidge of room for what some will consider " sinfully decadent" Peach Cobbler Egg Rolls that are always served warm, fresh and topped with a drizzle of caramel. You take all of that Heavenly goodness and combine it with the atmosphere of caring for their customers one by one. Always a smile, and a moment to see how ya been.....all this and so much more goodness and good food will ultimately leave you wondering why on earth didn't Mr. Terrance and Mrs. Tisha name this place " A Taste Of Heaven" because it truly is a God send to me each and every time I go !!! Try it, I promise you too will find a blessing in such AMAZINGLY GOOD food and a joyful atmosphere.....and the ribs, did I mention Mrs. Tisha's dry rub (otherwise known as JUJU.....don't tell her I told you about it though!!!)....JUST GO GIVE...
