Wow,got there early around 3:00.Not hardly any people there at all. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and a order of pretzel sticks to go . I waited at the bar for it to get done. The guy at the bar was very nice very polite was nice checked over the food when it got done to make sure it was all inside there. When I got home with my food both of the side dishes was in a separate container about a cup kind of a container, both of them was only filled half full one of gravy and the other one of mashed potatoes. The meat was really really large, it was in the container by itself, it looked pretty dark brown, and really really crispy. But I put what little gravy I had on it there was hardly no gravy in the container. When I went to cut in it I couldn't believe it. It was dark brown on the outside but on the inside it was pure black. It look like it had been burnt to a crisp all dried out, I scraped off the gravy and raised up the outside layer,it made you wonder how did the meat get so black and so burnt when the outside of it was just dark brown. Anyone that would have seen it look like they cook the meat first and then they put the breading on last . I couldn't even cut some of it, I just threw a lot of it away. In 67 years I've never got chicken fried steak that bad. That was the worst.And with a small price of $21.50!!!!!!!! Wow. When I open the pretzel sticks, they were like $10, they were so dark they look like they were almost black, I got a little small small container of cheese that was only half full!! Which was plenty because I had to tear all of the breading off of the outside of the pretzel because it was way too burnt, and pull out the inside of the bread to stick into the cheese. The inside was very soft. The outside was so dark and hard and tough I couldn't hardly cut it. The steak and the pretzel both, smelled like and tasted like the grease was very very old. Maybe that's why they look so so dark. But that still don't explain the chicken fried steak burnt on the inside but really dark on the outside.Last two times that I had gotten a sandwich with french fries the french fries tasted like they were cooked and really old oil . So I thought this time I won't get the french fries I'll pick something maybe they're still using the same oil from when it used to be the Station casino. I don't know ,This casino has went downhill so bad in the last 25 years. There's hardly no where out there to eat they've closed down all the good places. And what few places they have don't even open till 5:00 in the evening. Nothing like when they used to have the deli, and the buffet, and barbecue and stuff. Same way with the casino they used to have those drum drawings a lot, and all kinds of stuff they used to do now it's the same old thing every week if you come on Friday you get something if you come on Saturday you get double that that's it same thing every time. I would like to preface this by saying I haven’t had a full night’s sleep in days. Last week was my husband’s and my 25th anniversary. My husband trucks for a living and we don’t have much free time together so I wanted to surprise him and take him to Amerisports for dinner because it was one of his favorite places to watch the games when we used to live in Council Bluffs. Everything was going well until we see this freaky little autonomous tray table skittering around the place. I thought maybe it was just a quirky little gimmick but I soon discovered it would be a constant presence throughout our evening. I can’t emphasize enough how much it impacted both of our nights. This thing was like something out of a poorly written science fiction novel, or worse. I pray someone with any sway in the company reads this. Please, PLEASE don’t keep using these. You may giggle or scoff but I do run quite a popular local ladies book club that meets almost every Tuesday and the girls will be hearing about this. I’m not kidding around when I say I’ve dreamt of these androids every single night since my last dinner there. I will spare you all from the gory details but they are NOT good dreams and it has been severely affecting my work. Thank the Lord I work from home but I’m frankly exhausted. Food and (human) staff was just as I always remember it—top notch. Food was fantastic, love the huge TVs and atmosphere. The waitress we had was the worst service I've experienced ever. I brought my brothers family out because they'd never been there before. I was embarrassed after leaving as this waitress was rude and just ruined our time. We were ready to order and all had our menus on the table. She looked at us multiple times and walked by and it was not busy at all, we waited patiently, but eventually 45 minutes I flagged her down to take our order. She never came over to check on us, we didn't have enough silverware and we couldn't find her to bring us more. We always had to see where she was and flag her down for refills. When we did ask one time she said "hold on I'm busy" and the other time my husband asked she said "hold on a minute I got other stuff" and didn't come back for a while. I just ended up sharing a drink with my nephew so I could avoid the interaction. The guy who gave us our food off the robot I believe was the manager and he was very pleasant. She was refilling napkins when she noticed he was doing it for her and managed to give out the last basket of food. I think her name started with a J, she had dark hair. I sincerely hope she either changes her attitude or gets in another line of work because she does not represent this restaurant well.
