1L: Sub par food, mediocre service, and with better options in the building, I would probably never go for food again.
We were there with intentions of going to Amerisports. They were closed so we decided to try the new Mexican place! You cant go wrong with Mexican right. First we had to pay for chips and salsa. I have never been to a sit-down Mexican restaurant that charged for chips and salsa. I understand they are in a interesting/Different scenario being inside a casino and there would be room for abuse if it were free. However they could easily just restrict it to people who order an entrée. We did order chips and salsa and it was good, not great but good. We also had the cheese dip special they had going. Gas station cheese has more flavor. I'm not saying it was bad, I mean its melted cheese its hard for it to be bad lol, but it was not worth the over inflated price. (even for casino prices it was double what it should have been.) We all had a different entrée. Burrito, Quesadilla, Fajitas, and Nachos. Only one of us was happy, that was mother with the Fajitas. I had the "Nachos", and it put that in quotes because what i got was a pile of chips and lettuce, 4 small pieces of meat, with a tsb of quac, cheese, and tomatoes with a light sprinkle of queso fresco on top.(I asked for no beans). If you love nachos like I do, I pass on this. IF you can go 200feet to Amerisports, and get double the nachos, with 4x the flavor/quality for the same price. Quote about the Quesadilla, "there was one good bite, but that was it." On top of all this, everything was in disposable paper plates and plastic cups. I will preface this next statement with this, there is nothing wrong with a a small menu. However it has to have good options on it. As a group a 4 we tried pretty much everything but the tacos on the menu and 80% we would not try again. I said "You cant go wrong with Mexican", with this meal I stand corrected. On the good side Service was quick and margaritas were good for a 5$ margarita. (I personally didn't have one, but the other 3 at the table said as much and went for a second round.)
It would take a lot for me to give a place one star with out trying it at least twice. That being said with the other options SO close I will probably never try this place a second time so I will spare it a one and go with 2 stars. If your not too hungry, go there for a margarita and some chips and salsa. If you want a meal go...
Read moreHorrible service. We sat at the bar. The bartender was our waiter. As in all Mexican restaurants the first thing you get is chips & salsa. We got none as other table got theirs. Asked for them he said he would get us some. Never happen. Next ordered a Margarita, it was the worst ever. Told the waiter about it, he said others had complained about the extremely tart taste also, but it was his manager that supplied the mix. The guy sitting next to us also complained about his drink. Next it took close to an hour to get our food, the tacos were good, waited for condiments such as taco sauce, sour cream, we got none. The waiter kept saying he would get it but never did. Third and final ordered desert. Literally waited over 30 minutes for it but we never got it. The waiter said they were making it fresh & it was on its way 3 different times. Never came. I finally walked out, my wife waited another 15-20 minutes. She asked the bartender/waiter where’s our desert, he once again said it was on its way. Finally she said you can eat it when it’s done, and left. By the way, we tipped well despite the horrible service, not sure...
Read moreOrdered the chicken quesidilla and flan.... I did not receive the chicken, but was sent their spicy version... tried to let them know and they said thats what I ordered. Overall all, it was salty and not the best, but for a 6inch tortilla costing $4.25... I would say it was a fair price. The flan was not homemade, you can tell it was something they ordered pre-made and squeezed from a bad into the dish then refrigerated to settle. It was not your classic flan with caramelized sugar on top. Just the custard sitting on top of a Carmel sauce, which was also far from fresh... however for a basic custard dish it was only $3. The employees were very kind and delivery was really fast ... like less than 5 minutesfrom order to delivery(another point that nothing I ordered was actually freshly made)Overall I give it 3 out of 5 stars because you get what you pay for. My total was $20.01 for a quesidilla, flan and 2 beers. Not very expensive (beer cost more than any dish) but the food quality is not what you would hope for. Three stars only because it was cheap and fast with a friendly staff... even though they delivered the...
