Let me start by saying this ….I LOVE SALT!! I carry salt in my car, in my purse, in my phone case….my craving for salt is totally irresponsible and unhealthy. I even add it to my fruit and usually what a normal person would consider “salty food” I’ll still add more salt to the dish. It’s a problem that I’ve recognized and now striving to improve. OK….with THAT being said…..I had the chicken tacos. It was absolutely WAYYYYY too salty!! Now if I think something is salty…that’s a serious problem. I couldn’t even finish it and had to lay my car seat back because it raised my blood pressure higher than what it already is!! Definitely had high hopes for this food, but those high hopes have now turned into high blood pressure! The beans were salty as well…..the plate of food was like a BALL of SALT!!! Take a normal plate you cooked and open a bottle of salt then dump out half of the bottle and that would be equivalent to how my food tasted. I need some milk!! (Pic of my sisters plate, she says hers wasn’t as salty but I only had...
Read moreDoes this place have tons of excellent food? I have no idea. The reason that I have no idea is because I get one thing and I get it like 3x a week. The Campirano Burrito. The champion of all breakfast burritos in this city. Everyone else wishes that their burrito was half as good as this.
Let’s start with the size. It’s girthy. Heavy. Weighty. If you work a manual labor job and you eat this burrito, you better have a place to nap somewhere the boss can’t see you because you will need it. But you will be happy. And full.
The Campirano comes with steak, chorizo, egg, potatoes and cheese. The flavor is absolutely outstanding.
All for an obscenely reasonable price of $8.50 with tax. I want to try the other food here but I literally cannot stop myself from getting the same thing every time I go because it is, without a shred of doubt, the best breakfast burrito I have ever had in my...
Read moreSeen this place as soon as we came into town and saw this establishment served breakfast, so when my wife and I were out one weekend morning (8:00-8:30am) we decided to stop in and have breakfast and coffee. Let me tell you what. My wife ordered pancakes and I ordered breakfast Mexicana (their huevo rancheros) and 1 soda. Well as you can read they had no coffee started and their pancakes were flat and tasteless. Okay no problem cause we're at a Mexican restaurant, but their huevo rancheros were horrible. Believe me I've had more than 3 dozen different recipes of this in my life. Their "homemade tortillas" were hard and crispy on outsides of them. The only reason I can't give them a 1-2 star is cause I haven't had lunch or dinner there yet, but I will let y'all know as...
