I would go back if the baristas and owner were nice but seeing as every bad review is met with passive aggressiveness I can see exactly why the baristas were mean to begin with. It seems this entire staff is just disrespectful. Like I get that someone is criticizing your business, I truly understand how that is a personal experience. But I feel like being kind about it would be so much better to go about it rather than invalidating the experiences of others and being defensive. Yes your baristas are mean, multiple people have said this. YES it's a reoccurring thing no excuse will make it okay. They seem to be annoyed with everything. When I came in and ordered they didn't even want to make eye contact. Never said anything else to me other than my total and asking what I want to order. I TRULY get how exhausting customer service can be I really REALLY do as I have and DO work in this industry, but I feel like it goes past that. Makes the customers feel like burdens for even coming in. Genuinely if you want your business to thrive then why would you make everyone who comes in feel like a burden? Obviously people won't want to come back because of that. Simple things you could try: being kind, being understanding, hearing people out when they have constructive criticism. Atmosphere would be way better with good...

Having been to hundreds of coffee shops - I think Garden House has likely taken the spot for best coffee shop in KC for me. The setting is fantastic, with plenty of seating and room to enjoy a quiet morning coffee. The addition of handmade goods and other items for sale add a lot to the space.

If you are nerdy about your coffee, you will not be disappointed. The space is great, but the coffee is better. The level of quality and consistency is rarely matched by other shops. Their single origin offerings have always been spot on, and I think the espresso was likely the best shot I've had in my life. It is incredibly hard to have such high quality and maintain it consistently, and it is no mistake that you will find that here. You can tell a lot of love and care goes into this shop and that is why I find myself gravitating here every...

My friends and I came here for the first time and were really excited to try it. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. When my friend asked, ā€˜Can I see a menu?’ because she couldn’t see it clearly, the male employee gave her a dirty look, pointed behind him, and said ā€˜It’s right there.’ He wore a black and white baseball tee and had tattoos. His attitude was awful and unpleasant. No smile, no kindness, and it felt like he was annoyed to even be there. It gave us the impression that he thought he was better than us. Honestly, when working in customer service, even if it’s just being polite for the sake of professionalism, there should be a basic level of friendliness. The rudeness really ruined the mood, which is disappointing because we were so excited to...

If sipping on coffee while surrounded by luscious plants is your ideal way to start a morning, then Garden House Cafe in Kansas City, Kansas is the spot for you! From floor to ceiling, this cafe is covered in beautiful and healthy plants. From coffee to cold brews and lattes, there is a a little bit of everything on the menu to pick between. There are some pastries to chose from, along with delicious breakfast burritos. We ordered our coffee and found a lovely spot in the back area to sit. The Garden House Cafe is a great location to work remote as well! Before you leave, check out some of the accessories and items for purchase - there are adorable earrings and plant stands to look at! If you have not had the change to check out Garden House Cafe, I highly recommend it!

Very relaxing coffee spot. Passing by Garden House each day on my route work, I always thought it looked inviting and I wasn’t disappointed. With my first visit being early on a cool fall morning, I enjoyed browsing the interior amidst the calm atmosphere and chill indie music. Their array of plants and items for sale like jewelry add to the character of this place. The space for sitting is not huge but I’m not familiar enough to know if they get busy/crowded (there is some outdoor seating though). My kind of place.

Came in to check out the space. Garden House has a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. The staff was personable. The owner Jordan is cool and always welcoming of guests. I just got a honey lavender oat milk latte and hung out for a bit. But there are a lot of awesome plants to view or purchase and other vendors’ items worth checking out. The vendors are other local artists/creators as well.
