Gorditas Durango — Restaurant in Kansas City

First they don't take card! They have a overpriced atm in the building. I've been coming here for months because I like the burritos since I was pregnant with my youngest now I have my son and I needed to change his diaper they have no accommodations for babies no changing table no counter in the restroom big enough to change a diaper so my son really needed a diaper change I changed him on the bench at my table and I was away from everybody else I sat at a table away from everybody in the corner. Then I tell my son I bring the freeze so I could spray around my table to be considerate for everybody eating so they don't have to smell my son's dirty diaper I was honestly just trying to be considerate. Then the waitress comes up to me and she tells me I cannot change his diaper here, that I should change his diaper in the restroom. I told her there's nowhere for me to change him in the restroom I'm not going to change him on the dirty floor. She said I should be more prepared! Smh how was I not prepared? So I just got my food and I left because I'm not going to sit there and argue with someone if they had accommodations for babies then there never would have been an issue. I'm never eating...

I was initially intrigued to visit this place after seeing it on TikTok. The ambiance was pleasant, and the food looked appetizing. However, my experience was marred by exceptionally poor service. As a native of Durango, I'm accustomed to Gorditas revueltas, so I politely inquired about them. Unfortunately, the waitress responded with a dismissive attitude, and asked “do you want 13 guisos in a Gordita”. Despite my attempt to explain the traditional dish, she continued to display disrespect and treated me as if I were ignorant. Even after consulting the cook, her attitude remained unchanged. Ultimately, the unwarranted rudeness led us to leave the premises. By far one of my favorite places for authentic Mexican cuisine. The location is out of the way for me and I make sure to stop in when I am in the area. The restaurant is family owned and operated and you can feel the authenticity the moment you enter. The food is absolutely delicious and everytime I go I regret not ordering more. I feel this is the best place to get gorditas in Kansas City. I love going on the weekends to get the menudo. I cannot recommend this...
