Jim's Diner To GO — Restaurant in Kansas City

OMG I made a mistake and got a double... this burger is enough to feed 4 people 😆 they do not skimp on the portion sizes. I also tried the Mac& Cheese... let's just say 🔥🔥🔥the only reason I'm holding back a star is the service. Was told 15 mins but took 30. Then when I came back in to get my food after waiting 17 mins I was then told to wait in my vehicle and she would bring out my food. There are signs asking for you to wait in your car but the other people inside did not have to go outside and I only came back in after waiting like I was told. Just felt like I was unwelcome. I had called in my order originally and I already had uneasy feelings about the service cause it was hard to hear clearly what she was saying but then when the call ended before I had a chance to hang up she was saying something that sounds like she was complaining not sure if it was about me or just being busy but not a good way to be. Or at least make sure to fully disconnect the call before yelling. I'll back because maybe she was just having a bad day or maybe someone didn't come to work, who knows but moral of the post is the food...

Wow! Mmmmm mmm! That IS a tasty burger! A friend recommended stopping by when I had the chance… Today was the day. There are plenty of choices on the menu. But I went expressly to try the burger. Two (Yep-2) 14oz patties. Cheese. Bacon. All the fixins. They even grilled my onions for me! Piled high on a delicious bun. The thing has to be pinned together before they wrap and serve it. Or it’ll fall over and possibly injure a child. This thing is huge! Perfectly grilled. Seasoned nicely… a really outstanding effort! No one else in town is doing a burger like this! The fries I got with it were crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy in the middle. Not too greasy. Also seasoned just righteously! I had a piece of homemade lemon cake for dessert that topped the whole meal off as perfection! My only gripe, and it’s a very small gripe at that; is that there’s no place to sit down and eat at Jim’s. When I read the word “diner” on the sign, I was certain I’d be able to soak up some ambiance… other than that-Jim’s was a really positive and delicious experience! I’ll definitely be...

I drive by this place every few weeks and finally decided to stop and check it out. It's tiny so I suggest take it with only 1 booth and 1 table. Service is friendly but there are no prices listed for any of the food except a hand written note on paper with a few things. I was expecting the best burger ever for $8 with no sides or fries. It is a large burger but it was not any better in terms of flavor so I was disappointed. The nachos are made with nacho cheese Doritos, chili and cheese in a half size to go portion.

Nachos we're cold, the chili was not hot so it was strange eating fresh made nachos that were not hot. It was $14 for a cheeseburger and small nachos to go with average tasting food. The venue is plain, 1 loud TV was playing a football game and I almost left after a frw minutes because I could not find a menu with prices and nobody was at the counter. Once they noticed I was there they took the order and it came out fast. For as simple as the place is and average as the good is it's a bit over priced.
