Minsky's Pizza — Restaurant in Kansas City

just got back to town and the brakes are out on my truck, i need a pizza...hey, minsky's has delivered to my house before!! right?

well, after the city market location wasted 20 minutes of my time shuffling me around on the phone between disgruntled employee and manager, it seemed as though dinner would be delivered before too long since they verified my location and agreed to bring me dinner...after my order was taken and my card was charged i could practically smell the pizza waves as they drifted towards me...right? wrong!! the city market location actually called me back, on an uneventful tuesday night mind you, to tell me i can walk to the bar to meet the driver for my pizza...what a jerk move...so i call the new location on southwest and 31st only to be told they are closing in 10 and were no longer taking orders for delivery...maybe these are first world problems with an empty stomach, but jeez it sucks getting tossed around and spit out...had the other location not wasted my time, i might have been able to actually get my order in before closing...angry enough to complain like a hungry baby to manager aaron at southwest location, he listened to me and recognized how much it sucks gettin screwed around, particularly when you're gettin back to town with an empty stomach and a busted truck...then, the unexpected happened, aaron talked to a driver and they offered to fill my order...now, a driver is getting tipped and the business stands to profit from one last sale before the day is over...they almost lost a customer for good, but aaron brought me back from the brink...thanks aaron! i hope you get a raise!! you certainly...

Above and Beyond!!! Minsky's is the best tasting pizza bar none! My wife and I chose to spend a wonderful day together, this of course required starting off with eating at the Best Pizza place we have found in Kansas City. the location on Southwest Boulevard seems to have a great atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoy. We were greeted by Jolea, our server who was knowledgeable and in great spirits. We ordered the 5 star cheese pizza the Kansas City Way( with BBQ Sauce instead of Alfredo Sauce) when I mentioned I was a Vegetarian she ensured that the BBQ Sauce was within my dietary guidelines and shortly there after assured me that is was vegetarian. I added Portobello Mushrooms as they have a slightly meaty consistency that my wife likes as well. Steve the Manager came out and mentioned that they now offered Beyond Meats Burger as a option. I was elated as I am very familiar with Beyond Burgers products. I happily added this to our pizza. Steve's focus on meeting the needs of his customers was greatly appreciated. Our Pizza came out perfect. The added seasoning that Minsky's used with Beyond meat made the pizza amazing. I have found that many places struggle with preparation of "Veggie" based meats and usually burn them to a crisp. Not Minsky's!!! the meat was so tender and moist that my wife who eats meat commented on how good it was. I highly recommend not only Minsky's for their amazing food but their above and beyond culture of ensuring that the customer is...

First off, I love Minsky's pizza. With that said, worst experience there and it was handled very poorly by the manager.

I ordered the pizza online and was told it would be approx 30 min. I arrived at there at around the 30 min mark. I paid for the pizza and was told it would be about another 10 minutes. No big deal, I can wait a few. Others came in to pick up their orders and they were all told it would be about 10 minutes.

30 min later, 1 hour after I placed my order. I asked the person at the counter, how much longer it would be, as I was told 10 min 30 min ago. She said she would go check.

The manager walks up front and tells the large crowd waiting for their pizza that the dough machine has been down and that they are not making any pizza currently. Never had anyone been told that they are unable to produce the pizza but we has all been told it would be a 10 min wait.

We all asked how much longer and we were told the repair guy has been called and will be there in, you guessed it, 10 min. No estimated time for repairs or how long it would actually be before they will be able to make any pizzas. On top of that they are still seating people in the dining area.

I asked for a refund which was promptly honored. I also requested a good faith measure of a coupon for a free pizza on my next visit or at least a discount. This was apparently too much to ask and was denied.

Again I love Minsky's pizza, but I will never return to this location which is the closest to...
