Red Wok — Restaurant in Kansas City

I Ordered our Christmas dinner from here and the food was delivered missing my son’s entire dinner with also no cutlery, napkins or soy sauce. Our drinks were also only filled halfway. -The delivery driver was very nice and I tipped him $20 due to it being Christmas. However, I called the restaurant to let them know about us missing an entire dinner and there being no cutlery, napkins OR soy sauce and the woman said they were going to be packing up soon and they could give me a refund or I could come get it. (I didn’t even bother mentioning the drinks) I told them if it were fault on my end, then I would. But they forgot this meal and it is our Christmas dinner so I would like it to be delivered. They put me on hold and an Asian woman got on the phone and said we have your orange chicken you can come get it or we will refund. I told her no, I would like for it to be delivered since I paid for delivery and this was our Christmas dinner. She said ok they will bring it. I also asked her if we could please get cutlery and napkins and she said they only give that for lunch and not dinner? I told her I was very confused because I eat there often for dinner and always get napkins, cutlery and soy sauce. She got very rude with me and said “We only give it at lunch bye.” And hung up on me. I will NEVER eat here again because of this. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her when they forgot our food. I was so very nice to the delivery driver with my tip and feel like this was not a huge thing to ask. Customer service is everything and tonight’s experience...

I just left this place. Ordered the Jalapeño chicken off of the lunch menu. It was just plain nasty. No other way to describe it. Never again!! Got mine to go. I was insulted by the man who took my order. I didn’t see the meat selections at the top of the menu. He referred to the menu as complicated and then had this raised eyebrows look on his face which he didn’t think I saw. I told him you just called me stupid. Didn’t give me one napkin. He was not friendly at all. Probably didn’t want to be there. Back to that trash food. The veggies were burnt and the food left a horrible taste in my mouth. Now that’s $10 I definitely wish I could get back in exchange for that horrible Chinese food. There’s a Chinese restaurant off 169 and Englewood behind Quik Trip. I've tried this place several times (always takeout) and have always had great service. Being from Springfield, MO my favorite is Springfield cashew chicken and have been told the cashew chicken in KC is nothing like Springfield so I've never tried it. Every thing I've ever bought from here has been good however, in asking about their Springfield cashew chicken I was assured that theirs was just like Springfield CC in that they had David Leong's receipe so I finally got the courage to try it. I have to say I was very disappointed it was not like the recipe I have from Leong's. The sauce was dark brown, not clear, the chicken was a tempura batter not just fried chicken, they used soy sauce instead of oyster sauce. As I said everything I've ever had here has been good and I will continue to go here I just won't be ordering the Springfield cashew...
