Let's get to the point. The food is the real deal and well worth looking past reasons you might turn down other locations. The place isn't convenient, much to look at (a small, old cinder block style building that won't inspire you - definitely a dive), and you might pass it without noticing. If you go inside don't expect anything shiny and new and no cleanliness awards handed out here. Remember it's a dive - idated and functional. There's also a bit of a wait (10 minutes wouldn't be unusual). However it's totally worth the trip because the sandwiches are great. I get an order every time I can find a reason to be in the area.
A couple tips - use the drive through, and be sure to clarify your options (some basics come standard but there are a lot of decisions from type of meat, to sauce to added veggies). You can park and come in but it's not easy or any quicker. There's a daycare next door and parking while parents are picking up kiddos can make finding a spot tough. Only minor annoyances on the road to a memorable...
Read moreIn the last year, we've tried three separate times to order here via Grubhub. Each time, after the order is placed it gets canceled, and we're told the business is closed. Months later seeing it still listed, we tried again with the same result. After the third time we decided to call them first. After calling two or three times, letting it ring many, many times, someone answered. I asked if they were open, and began to explain about grubhub etc., he cut me off mid sentence, said "Yeah, we're open." and hung up. Sad, because this is/was our favorite cheesesteak place. As far as going in there myself.. I'm disabled and my wife works from home, so that's seldom an option. Plus, they (the restaurant) entered into an agreement to this service, there should be a level of professionalism and...
Read moreAfter trying BOTH locations I can safely and with much confidence say that I will NEVER eat at either location again. One star is being nice and that's only because Google requires it. If you're gonna charge $20 for two regular steak combos please make sure that the food is of good quality. The staff aren't friendly at either location. The girls at the 87th and blue ridge location can't get the food out quickly because they're too busy twerking in the inside. If you like to waste money, receive horrible food, and get bad service on top of it then by all means go to...
